Spartan Retreats: Building Bonds and Memories
On Friday, May 17th, the seniors embarked on their final Bishop Walsh retreat at Marydale picnic grounds, reflecting on their shared experiences and the bonds they’ve formed. Just a few days later, on May 21st, the sophomores and juniors also gathered at Marydale for their retreat, enjoying a beautiful day to contemplate the past school year and their relationships. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Morin, Mr. Orndoff, and all the teachers for organizing and participating in these meaningful retreats.
Celebrating Artistry and Harmony
Our PreK-12th grade students dazzled us with their immense talent and hard work at the recent student exhibition. Their creativity shone through various mediums, captivating the audience with a fabulous glow show and a deeply moving community wishing tree. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Fabrizio, our exceptional art teacher, for curating such a remarkable event. Your dedication and effort made this exhibition a truly unforgettable experience for everyone.
Simultaneously, our music and band students from PreK through 12th grade delivered a mesmerizing performance titled "Songs of Joy & Wonder" at our spring concert. Each student, from the youngest voices to our graduating seniors, crafted memorable moments that resonated with family and friends alike. On behalf of the BW school community, we express our deepest gratitude to Ms. Beau for orchestrating an outstanding spring concert. It was a true celebration of talent, dedication, and the sheer delight of music.
Reflecting on Our Living Rosary Experience
PreK through 12th-grade students recently took part in a poignant Living Rosary, skillfully organized by the Oakland Knights of Columbus. Leading the group from Oakland were Mr. and Mrs. Fuller, alongside Rich Biancone from the Our Lady of the Mountains Knights of Columbus. The Fullers guided the Living Rosary sessions four times, involving both students and faculty in a deeply touching experience. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, recognizing the significance of May as the month dedicated to Mary.
Gratitude and Success at the BW World's Fair
The BW World’s Fair was an incredible success, selling out and delighting all who attended. We extend our deepest gratitude to our generous sponsors whose support made this event possible. The generous contributions ensure the continued success of our school community. We hope that everyone had a fantastic time and made lasting memories. We look forward to welcoming you back next year for another unforgettable experience!
Celebrating Walsh: Honoring Our Founder
Last month, we joyfully celebrated Walsh Day with a special Mass, commemorating the birthday of our esteemed founder, James Edward Walsh. Born in Cumberland on April 30th, 1891, Bishop Walsh's legacy continues to inspire us all. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the family members of Bishop James Walsh who graced the occasion with their presence, adding warmth and significance to our celebration. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
BW Grows Plant Sale: A Blooming Success
In April, the BW Grows plant sale was a tremendous success, thanks to the fantastic efforts of our high school students, who provided valuable information about each plant, flower, and vegetable. We are grateful for everyone’s support! A special shout-out goes to our middle school students for giving insightful tours of the aquaponics lab during the Open House event.
