Congratulations to Liz Ginther - New Mark Administrative Assistant
Congratulations to New Mark Administrative Assistant, Liz Ginther, for being honored as a Champion of Service at the school board meeting on Tuesday evening.
Liz is the heart of our New Mark family. She is committed, compassionate, and endlessly dependable. She keeps our school running smoothly and she is a mentor to administrative assistants across the district, always ready to lend her wisdom and help. Liz is the person everyone turns to, and she shows up with grace every single time. Congratulations Mrs. Ginther!

A HUGE THANK YOU to Creative Supports of KC for their large donation, and to our New Mark families for their donations to the PTSA for New Mark Donut Day! The PTSA was able to raise $450 to buy donuts for students/staff.
PTSA, students and parent volunteers handed out just under 1,000 donuts during 1st hour on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
8th Grade Dance
We are getting excited for the 8th grade dance! A Night In New York will take place at New Mark Middle School on Friday, May 9th from 6:00-8:00pm.
Please read the following information carefully before purchasing your ticket.
There will be no refunds!
- Tickets available to be purchased for $10 on mypaymentsplus.com beginning April 25th.
- Students that have 2 F’s in PowerSchool during 4th quarter may NOT attend the dance.
- Students that have served In School Suspension or Out of School Suspension during 4th quarter may not attend the dance.
- If your grades are on the border, you should wait to buy your ticket until closer to the dance.

**Summer school takes an "everybody rises" approach. It is important to note that if your child completes 5th grade, 6th grade, or 8th grade this spring, they will transition to the next grade level and their new building for summer programming.**
Hello, incoming Staley 9th graders!
Welcome to Staley! We are so excited to have you. Before long, you will be walking these halls like you’ve been here forever but before that it’s time to set our sights on summer school!
This message contains information on the 2025 high school Summer School available for our current 8th grade students at Staley High School.
In June, we are offering first time credit for Health or PE. These courses will be virtual offerings through Canvas.
To sign up for first time credit for Health or PE please follow this process:
- Visit this link to go to PowerSchool Parent Portal to enroll in Summer School. Visit this link for step by step how to directions if needed.
You will be enrolled in one course.
Please note that confirmation of your enrollment will not be immediate and will take place later in the Spring. If you have any additional questions regarding Summer School, please reach out to their new high school counselor, or Mr. Potts (vincent.potts@nkcschools.org). SUMMER SCHOOL DATES
7:15-1:15
Week 1: Tuesday, June 3 – Friday, June 6
Week 2: Monday, June 9 – Thursday, 12
Week 3: Monday, June 16, Tuesday, June 17, Wednesday, June 18, Friday, June 20
Thursday, June 19 is a holiday with no summer school. Friday, June 20 will be a virtual attendance day for students and teachers in summer school.
Week 4: Monday, June 23 – Thursday, June 26
After completing the online portion of enrollment, Counseling Staff will reach out to you if additional information is needed for summer learning.
ACE Reminder
The last ACE day for the year is May 6th.
