Principal's Pen
April 30, 2024
Our girls in grades 3-5 enjoyed a beautiful evening with their Fathers and/or Very Important Person in their lives at a dance in our Julian Curtiss gymnasium. A very special thank you goes to Jennifer Taylor, Anjuli Chaku and Cecelia Perez for organizing and ensuring that our guests enjoyed their evening.

Reminder
Meet Mr. Eduardo Calderón
Julian Curtiss Principal 2024-2025
Dear Julian Curtiss Parents and Families,
I'm excited to share that we've welcomed Mr. Eduardo Calderón as the new principal for the 2024-2025 school year. You can read more about his appointment in the press release linked below:
Mr. Calderón will be visiting our school on Monday and Tuesday of this upcoming week. During his visit, he will meet with teachers and students and participate in professional development sessions for teachers in grades K-2. We eagerly anticipate introducing him to our community. On Wednesday, May 1st at 6 pm, he will be available for a "fireside chat" with the PTA (minus the fire, of course!). We hope you can join us in extending a warm welcome to him.

Julian Curtiss Highlights
Julian Curtiss has a real presence in this month's GPS Digest. See the Julian Curtiss podcast being highlighted , "I'm free to be the greatest" thanks to Esra Murray and some of our fifth graders. Our new principal was announced and one of our JC alumni, Luka Dolgav , was recognized at Connecticut Association of School's 29th Annual High School Outstanding Arts Awards Banquet in Plantsville, CT.
