LOST AND FOUND! Please check the lost and found cart in the cafeteria. There are lots of items on there, including jackets and sweatshirts. We would love to have it cleared off as much as possible before we have to clear the racks. We will send out a reminder before we donate leftover items.
Attendance Blitz!
Attention families! We are doing an Attendance Blitz for the month of October!! There are 22 school days this month, and we want students at school, every day, and on time! Students with 2 or less tardies or absences have the opportunity to earn some very exciting prizes. We will also raffle off some gift cards to families with students who achieve their attendance goals.
So, plan ahead, get kids to bed early, and set an alarm so that we see your student here daily by 7:45am!
Free Mobile Market, Job Fair, and Fingerprinting!
FACE is partnering with Whole Foods Market and River City Food Bank for their "Nourishing Our Neighborhoods" Free Mobile Market event, which will feature a farmer's market-style food lot open to our families and community, where families can fill a large tote bag with free produce and shelf-stable items to take home at no cost. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 8 from 11 am-2 pm in the Encina parking lot behind Adult Education (1400 Bell Street). Please see the attached translated flyers for more information and thank you for sharing the info with your families!
Additionally, San Juan Unified Adult Education is hosting a Job & Resource Fair at Encina's cafeteria this Friday, October 4, from 10 am-1 pm. This is a great opportunity!

Please use this link to complete the yearly Income Verification: https://forms.sanjuan.edu/241365626257965
It is important that all families complete the form so that our school can receive additional state and federal funding that we use to buy supplies, fund field trips, prizes, and more!
Drop-Off Procedures
Safety is our number one priority, especially in the morning! Please review our Drop-Off Procedures:
Do not park your car or leave your vehicle unattended in the Fire Lane!
If you would like to park your car and walk your student into school, please park in the designated parking spots. To avoid disrupting the flow of traffic, please do not park your car in the driveway. Reference the map for the driveway that designates the drop off/pick up area.
Pick-Up Procedures for 1st-5th Grades
School ends at 2:10 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Thursdays, school ends at 12:45.
To address safety and the business of the end of the day, we will not call students out for early dismissals after 2:00 (12:35 on Thursdays).
We still have students who are being picked up more than 30 minutes after dismissal. Students who are frequently picked up 30 minutes or more after dismissal will be referred to Safe Schools.
Notice of Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter Repairs!
Please read the attached flyer sent by the city regarding construction that will be occurring from 9/16-10/25. For safety purposes, there may be limited access to the road due to fresh oil, hot mix asphalt and/or open trenches.
