Message from Mr. Kingery
Dear Art Rutkin Families,
Twality Schools United Multicultural Festival
We are excited for the Twality Schools United Multicultural Festival tonight. The event starts at 5:00 PM at Twality Middle School. Join us to see our Art Rutkin Zōmba band play during the event. Mrs. McKean, our music teacher, has done an amazing job preparing our students to perform for this fun family event. We encourage families to carpool if possible due to limited parking.
All School Field Trip - June 5th
Our school-wide field trip is all set for Wednesday, June 5th. Please contact your child’s teacher for details regarding this fun day for all our Art Rutkin Rams. This is a unique opportunity, and we still need parents who are not designated chaperones to have already passed a background check if joining with classes. This is still considered volunteering for school. Please call our office with questions. 503 431-3500. Thank you for planning ahead.
Field Day - June 7
Field Day will be one week from today on Friday, June 7th. Volunteers will be busy running stations and supporting the fun in our outdoor spaces and in our school gym. We ask that all parents who are not volunteering stay in the designated viewing area. Thank you in advance for following this routine for a fun field day morning next Friday. This will allow for quick transitions for students as they move from one station to the next. Mrs. Satterlee has been having all our students practice the fun games and activities so they will be ready to have a fun field day.
Last Day of School - June 14th
Please note that there is an early dismissal time on June 14th at 11:15 for all elementary schools in TTSD. Students will have the option to have a grab-and-go lunch to take home. There will not be a regular lunch schedule at school on the last day. We ask that all students dismiss by walking, biking/scooters, parent pick-up, or on the bus as usual. Please plan for any other transportation to happen away from the school campus. This would include special rides like limousines and other large vehicles. They will be in the way of our regular dismissal traffic on campus. Feel free to join the fun at the end of the day as we cheer all our Art Rutkin Rams into a well deserved summer break.
With Gratitude,
Mr. Kingery
IT'S HAPPENING! TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!
Spirit Week; June 10-14
Lost & Found
We have quite a few things in our lost and found. Feel free to stop by and look through it to see if you find anything that looks familiar! We're here 7:30-3:30 through June 21st. Anything unclaimed will be donated to the Caring Closet.
The School Board approved the 2024-2025 school year calendar at the last board meeting. You can find the calendar here. The calendar is subject to change based on the outcome of the current labor negotiations. Adjustments may be made to the 2nd half of the school year.
