NEWS FROM THE NURSE
Cases of lice have been more frequent than usual, especially in the primary grades. If your child has had any recent sleepovers or playdates, it would be a good idea to check their hair for any signs of an infestation. Please remind your students to avoid sharing personal items (hats, hair brushes, headphones, etc.) and to maintain space between themselves and their friends. If you find nits (eggs) or bugs in your child's hair, please be sure to check in with Nurse Sophia for guidance. Here is additional lice education.
SOCIAL WORKER NEWS
Hello Families,
I would like to continue the discussion related to outdoor unstructured play time for children. Research has shown that being outdoors can improve mental health and help children build important life skills. I have included an article below that offers some ideas for ways that we can support our children with taking advantage of unstructured time outdoors.
