Successful School Year 🤩
As we close out another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on all we’ve accomplished together. The 2024-2025 school year is one that has set us up for the future!
Students excelled academically showing tremendous growth in math and literacy. This growth is a testament to the teacher’s hard work and student’s diligent efforts. This year marked the successful completion of our 5-year strategic plan—an ambitious roadmap that guided us in strengthening academic inquiry, expanding social emotional learning, and deepening community partnerships. We proudly grew our preschool offerings, giving more of our youngest learners a strong foundation. The district began with seven classrooms serving 105 students. Next year, we’ll open our doors with 16 classrooms serving approximately 240 preschoolers. And we took bold steps toward the future by planning a referendum that will invest in our schools for generations to come.
Thank you to our dedicated staff, families, and community for making this year one of meaningful progress and shared achievement. Here’s to a well-earned summer and an exciting year ahead!

Summer 2025 Renovations 🔆
Mr. Jason Bohm, Business Administrator
Although many believe summer is a slow time for school districts with most staff departing until the fall, this is the period of time when the Readington Township Facilities Departments shines!
Over the course of the coming months, the district is embarking on dramatic changes for the upcoming school year to help support learning and instruction in our buildings:
Readington Middle School
● Renovation of stage floor for music and arts performances
● Innovative updates to the art room including new furniture and cabinetry
● Formation of more defined 1-on-1 instrument lesson space in the music room, along with enhanced storage and creative planning space for the music department as a whole
● Removal of asbestos for better air quality and health of staff and students
● Installation of security film and other safety upgrades to help our building police officers stationed in the building through a Township of Readington shared services agreement
Three Bridges School
● Design and renovation of a new Kindergarten room due to increased enrollment
● Removal and building of a retaining wall for safety and beautification
● Replacement of the hot water boiler servicing the building due to age of equipment
● Enhanced stage lighting and a new sound system for student performances
● Mounting of multiple new water bottle filling stations aligned with our sustainability efforts
Whitehouse School
● Finalization of building of a gaga pit for student recess and physical wellness
● Upgrades to certain toilet rooms for functionality and aesthetics
● Overhaul of garden area drainage to prevent moisture and leaks in the building
● Replenishment of library books and reading resources due to generous third-party donations
Private Preschool Providers
● Creation of 2 additional free preschool rooms due to high community demand utilizing state funding, resulting in 16 free preschool classrooms district-wide serving 240 students
● Parking lot redesign at Berry Patch Early Learning Center to allow large school buses access to the parking lot for strong student safety and commuter relief on a main road
The district is thrilled to able to transform the school district without any additional costs to taxpayers as surplus and certain reserves shall be utilized to fund the project outside of the tax levy through efficient budget and fiscal restraints spearheaded by the Board of Education. The goal of the Facilities Department is to help support and maintain the fundamental structures for student learning and staff wellbeing, and we look forward to showing the amazing results upon completion with the community.
As always please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Jason M. Bohm for more information. Have a great summer!
NJ Student Learning Standards Implementation Update
Dr. Stacey Brown/Supervisor of Humanities & Ms. Sarah Pauch/Supervisor of Math, Science & Technology
As we continue our commitment to providing exceptional educational opportunities for all students in grades K-8, we are pleased to share important updates regarding our implementation of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) in English Language Arts and Mathematics.
Over the past academic year, Readington School District has successfully implemented and revised our curricular materials to align with the updated NJSLS for both English Language Arts and Mathematics instruction. These updated materials represent a significant investment in our students' academic success and reflect the latest research-based practices in elementary and middle school education.
We are encouraged by the early indicators of student success with these curriculum enhancements. Classroom assessments and ongoing evaluations show promising trends in student achievement across all grade levels. The implementation of new curricular materials is an ongoing process that requires careful attention and responsive adjustments. Our administrative and instructional teams continue to monitor student performance data closely, gathering feedback to ensure the effectiveness of our revised programs.
As we move forward, we will continue to evaluate the effectiveness of our NJSLS-aligned curriculum and make thoughtful adjustments as needed. Our goal remains constant: providing every Readington student with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed academically and become lifelong learners. For more information about the New Jersey Student Learning Standards or our curriculum implementation, please visit our district website.
Holland Brook School Spotlight 🌟 HBS Celebrates 25 Years of Excellence!
Dr. Jonathan Moss, Principal
What an absolutely incredible day of celebration we had at Holland Brook School on June 6th, 2025, as we marked our 25th anniversary! The air was buzzing with excitement, and it was truly a day to remember for our entire school community.
The festivities kicked off with a fantastic treat that had everyone smiling: an ice cream truck sponsored by our amazing HSA. But the HSA's generosity didn't stop there! They also purchased a special 25th-anniversary shirt for every single student, creating a wonderful sense of unity and a lasting memento of this historic occasion. It was the perfect way to cool down and enjoy a sweet moment together, and to show off our Bobcat pride, a testament to the wonderful support our Home and School Association consistently provides.
The highlight of our celebration was undoubtedly a very special assembly. We were honored to welcome back Dr. Oley, Holland Brook School's very first principal, who shared inspiring words and nostalgic memories with our students and staff. Her presence truly brought our history to life and underscored the strong foundations upon which our school was built.
Then came the moment everyone was anticipating: the grand unveiling of our original time capsule! It was a fascinating glimpse into the past, as we carefully opened it and put all the contents on display for everyone to see. The items sparked conversations, laughter, and a real sense of connection to the students and staff who walked these halls before us.
But we didn't just look back; we also looked forward! To cap off our anniversary, we created a brand-new time capsule, filled with items that represent Holland Brook School in 2025. This new capsule is sealed and ready to be opened by the students of 2050, carrying our hopes, dreams, and a snapshot of today's learning environment into the future.
It was a truly amazing day of reflection, celebration, and anticipation for what's to come. Thank you to everyone who made our 25th anniversary such a memorable event!

Technology: End of School Year / Summer
Mr. James Belske, Technology Coordinator
Technology: Chromebook Collection and Summer Tech Upgrades
As the school year draws to a close, we're gearing up for the Chromebook collection during the final week of school, specifically around June 16th. Each school will communicate directly with staff and students regarding the specific schedule for returning Chromebooks, especially for those students who have been taking their devices home.
Don't Forget Your Charger!
To avoid any return fees, we kindly ask that students please return their Chromebook chargers along with the devices on collection day, it is greatly appreciated!
Summer Tech Refresh
Our dedicated technology team will be working over the summer, ensuring all returned devices receive necessary software updates and any required maintenance. This ensures every Chromebook is in top condition and ready to be reassigned to students for the start of the next school year in September. In addition to device maintenance, our technology team will also be performing wireless access point upgrades across the district. This important initiative will significantly enhance connectivity and performance for the many student-connected devices used throughout our schools.
We wish all our students and families a wonderful and relaxing summer break! We look forward to seeing everyone back in September, refreshed and ready for a new school year. Enjoy!
