Monday Morning Memo - Week 7
10/13/19
Dear Poupard Leaders,
Conferences
Conferences this past week were definitely a success! We had over 90% of our families that were able to attend fall conferences thanks to teachers using a variety of methods of communication to reach out to families (email, phone, dojo, in-person). As always, I appreciate your flexibility in making that information accessible to our families to ensure they can begin building trusting relationships with you as you work with their learner this year.
Schedule
Thank you to everyone that has sent me their daily schedule already. I am still waiting to receive a few of them. We use these schedules to determine our Title 1 support schedules, interventions and coordinating intentional classroom visits. Please be sure to send your schedules to me by the end of the week.
My Schedule
Looking ahead, I'm noticing that I will be out of the building quite a bit over the next few weeks for a variety of trainings, meetings and district provided professional development. I bring this up so you are all aware that our communication may rely on more technology (email, google hangouts, weekly memo, etc) and less face-to-face. It is important to me that I understand and support your needs as well, so please don't hesitate to work with Cindy or myself to schedule time to meet with me whenever needed. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that the 2019-20 school year will continue along this theme as we start the reconfiguration committee work in the upcoming months.
Professional Goal Setting
Almost done with all of the professional goal setting meetings! Our staff has done an outstanding job of creating their goals in alignment with the building and district goals around literacy instruction and cultural competency.
For those that are meeting with me this week, please remember to use the Goal Setting Form linked below to begin recording your thoughts about your professional goals.
Similar to last year, I will be meeting with each teacher during their planning time to establish a professional goal for the year. All teachers are required to set one instructional goal from (Domain 1 or 3) from the Danielson Rubric. All probationary teachers are required to set one additional goal from Domain 2 from the Danielson Rubric as well.
You may access the Danielson Framework Rubric by clicking here.
Lastly, you will set one goal that will focus on how you will sharpen the saw this year to sustain the grind of a school year.
Let's have great week team!

Class Newsletters
Please share your weekly newsletters with me by "Ccing" me when they are emailed out to families. This allows for me to stay connected with all of the exciting things happening inside of your classrooms.
GES3
Our GES3 meeting dates and deadlines have been established by the team. You can access that information below. It will also be made available on our Poupard Schoology page.
GES3 Dates and Information Page
Walkie Talkie
All Classroom Teachers should have received a Walkie Talkie. Please take it with you when you take your students outside for an extra recess. The office staff will use it to locate individual students, typically for early dismissal.Emergency Information
Please be sure to review all of the emergency information for fire drills and tornado drills inside of your classrooms. We will be doing a sweep to make sure your emergency bags are stocked with everything that necessary and include updated rosters as they become available.
Behavior Referrals
Behavior Referrals must be completed using the Online Behavior Form. Staff must complete the behavior form anytime a student is sent down to the office for a major office referral. Homeroom Teachers and Special Area Teachers are responsible for contacting the family to notify them of any incidents that occurred inside of the classroom. Please call home over an email whenever possible. Personally, I'd recommend sharing anything over 3-4 sentences over a phone call as well.
