Welcome to Dixon Smith Middle School! We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you and your rising 6th grade students starting this fall. Our goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive. This space will be updated as we receive more information for you and your family.

August 6 Open House

August 11 6th Grade Transition Day (1st Day of School for 6th Graders!)

Schedules for rising 6th grade students are anticipated the first week of August through ParentVue.

Interested in trying out for Dixon-Smith Athletics? Be sure to have a physical completed after 5/1/25 and before your student's try-out date.

If you have a rising DSMS 6th grader, the PTO has designed a spirit wear T-Shirt just for them! See picture below. Orders can be placed online via PT Board from April 7- April 16. Click the link below to order one NOW!

T-Shirts are $15.00 each and available in ADULT SIZES ONLY.

T-shirts will be delivered to the student's current elementary school via the homeroom teacher in early May.

Bingo win consists of five consecutive completed squares in a:

• Horizontal row
• Vertical column
• Diagonal line

Fill the entire Bingo card for a special reward!

*Paper copies of the Bingo Board will be available this summer in the Front Office Monday - Thursday (unless it is a Holiday) 9-3

Our students always look forward to getting their locker at the start of each school year. However, it can also be a stressor in some cases, as the lock is a new phenomena for many kids. If your student is eager to learn about how to open a combination lock, please watch the video below!
