New Mark’s FTC Robotics Team, Hurricane 5, had their 2nd Meet and won 2 of their 6 challenges at Park Hill HS on Saturday, December 14th. They consistently put up 30 plus points for their alliance team. They did a fantastic job competing against mostly high school teams.

Is your child missing a water bottle, lunchbox, coat, etc.? Have they looked in the lost and found at New Mark. A group of students organized the area before break so students could spot their missing item. Please remind them to look there when they return from break.

Students should NOT have wireless headphones at school. Please remind your child to keep wireless headphones at home. We know they aren't cheap and we would hate for students to lose them or for them to be damaged. We have wired headphones for students that may need them. Thank you for your help.

As Dr. Daniels and Amanda Bearden shared last week, our inclement weather plans for this year have been updated to account for changes in state law.

Enrollment activities for the 2025-2026 school year will begin this month as 8th graders begin to explore Staley Pathways. All 8th grade Connections classes will participate in pathway learning activities during the week of January 13-17th.

New Mark families are invited to attend a parent information session on Wednesday, January 15th in Staley’s Special Events Center (SEC), from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. This session is designed for all families of incoming freshmen and will provide detailed information about our pathways. If you're unable to attend in person, Staley will provide this information in a recorded presentation prior to your student choosing a pathway. Please see the attached flyer from Dr. Smith with additional information.

Note: This meeting will be identical to the pathway meeting that was held in December.

ACE enrollment opens for quarter 3 on Friday December 20th. If classes fill up, they may close early. All registration will close January 21st.

Please make sure payments are made and enrollment forms are completed by this date.

Classes will begin January 13th.
