White Eagle Elementary PTA Newsletter
Greetings to all of our White Eagle families! Check out the latest PTA news below...
What is your families favorite activity to do in the fall?
Fall Festival & Color Run
with a little Ice Cream Social on the side...
We were thrilled to see so many White Eagle Elementary school families this past Saturday at the Fall Festival & Color Run (with a little Ice Cream Social on the side...).
It is hard to believe that there were 567 attendees!
This amazing crowd consumed 500 Andy's frozen custard scoops, 224 pieces of pizza, & 339 concession items.
We raised $346 through our Fall Festival Raffle & the children easily played HUNDREDS of rounds of the fun games that our awesome volunteers brought to life.
And, we managed to fit all of that fun into a mere three hours!
A huge thank you to all of our White Eagle Teachers & Staff who volunteered, not to mention all of the amazing parent volunteers. Your support is heartwarming! 💜
Also, a huge thank you to the 30 student volunteers from the Waubonsie Valley High School Key Club who ran all of the games, crafts, & Color Run color stations, as well as helped with concessions.

New District 204 Volunteer Process
This year the district has implemented a new process for those parents/guardians wishing to volunteer in District 204 schools. ALL parents/guardians wishing to volunteer during the school day must fill out an online application that will be processed by the district. This must be done several weeks BEFORE you wish to start volunteering in the school. This only needs to be done once and is valid for the entire school year.
The PTA leadership STRONGLY encourages ALL parents who know they will be volunteering this school year to FILL OUT THIS FORM TODAY. (i.e., Classroom "Lead" Party Parents, Classroom Party Volunteers, etc.)
NOTE: Parent/guardians will still be asked to provide a valid form of identification (valid driver 's license, Real ID, passport) when they come into the building to volunteer.
District 204 Referendum - Information
The Indian Prairie School District (IPSD) 204 is placing a referendum on the November 5th Election Day ballot. This referendum is a funding referendum to address their highest-priority facility and safety needs, without a tax rate increase.
For information on the referendum, please visit the school district's website at: https://www.ipsd.org/saferstronger204
White Eagle Elementary PTA will host Mr. Matt Shipley, Chief School Business Officer at our virtual Membership Meeting on October 16th at 11:00am over Zoom. He will give a brief 10 minute presentation about the referendum & entertain questions after his presentation.
The school district will be hosting Town Hall Meetings where information will be presented and questions can be asked. All meetings will take place from 7:00-8:30pm.
- Gregory Middle School: Wednesday, October 16
- Waubonsie Valley High School: Tuesday, October 29
A committee of community members has been formed to support the referendum with an education campaign. Information on their efforts can be found at: https://www.yesd204.org/ or they may be contacted at: info@yesd294.org
