Weekly Newsletter
This week, I would like to highlight our students! Sending a huge thank you to our ASB students who led our student section at our first home football game this past Friday evening. We had a western theme going on and students showed up in their favorite western wear!
If your student wasn't here on Friday, I encourage you to have them come out and be a part of the student section at our next home football game this Friday, Sept. 6th when we play RBV. Hope to see you there!!

Student Chromebook Protectors & Device Protection Plan
All of our students received a brand new touch-screen Chromebook device at the start of the school year and we want to ensure that students are caring for them properly. Each device was brand new (out of the box) when students received them and there is a YELLOW device protector. If your student has removed the yellow device protector, please note that this will void the insurance if you purchased it! We are asking that you please have your student put the yellow device protector back on the device.
Repair and replacement costs can be expensive! You can view the fees for repairs and replacement here. OUSD also provides an optional device protection plan for $20. For additional information about the device protection plan as well as what it covers and doesn't cover, please see the flyers.

New Cell Phone Policy
As we continue to build our culture of Respect for the learning environment at El Camino High School, the purpose of our school wide Cell Phone Policy is to ensure all students will not be distracted by cell phone use. To ensure that our scholars can focus on their academics, we will support them by having students place their cell phones in the cell phone pocket holder as they enter the classroom for each teacher. For more information, check out our ECHS Cell Phone Policy as well as our district policy of Off and away during the day - OUSD.
