A Note from Mr. Meyers!
Dear Wolfpack Families,
It’s hard to believe we’re in the home stretch of the school year! May brings warm weather and a sense of excitement as we head into the final weeks together.
This month includes Teacher Appreciation Week—a chance to recognize the hard work and dedication our educators bring to school each day. Our teachers go above and beyond to support, challenge, and care for our students. A quick note or thank you can go a long way in letting them know the impact they’ve had.
We’re also deep into MCAS season, and we’re so proud of how hard our students are working to show what they know. Their effort reflects how much they have grown and learned, as well as the steady support they've received from teachers and families along the way.
As the end of the year approaches, we encourage everyone to finish strong while making time to enjoy the celebrations, field trips, and special moments that come with this season.
Let’s keep up the momentum and have a fun, focused, and fantastic finish to the school year!
With appreciation,
Nate Meyers

National Principal's Day! (May 1, 2025)
This year, we’ve had the joy of welcoming Mr. Meyers as our new principal, and he’s quickly become a valued and inspiring part of the Wolfpack. Whether you’ve known him for years or are just beginning to connect with him, it’s clear that his thoughtful leadership, steady presence, and genuine care for our community are making a positive impact.
Mr. Meyers has embraced our school’s mission with heart and purpose, building on the strong foundation already in place and helping us move forward with clarity and compassion. His support for students, families, and staff has already made a meaningful difference.
We’re so grateful to have Mr. Meyers leading the way—thank you for your dedication, your vision, and for being such a wonderful addition to the Wolfpack family!
National School Lunch Hero Day! (May 2, 2025)
Today we celebrate National School Lunch Hero Day—a time to recognize and thank the amazing members of our cafeteria team who keep our students nourished all year long!
Our School Lunch Heroes work hard every day to prepare and serve meals with care, making sure our students have the fuel they need to learn, grow, and thrive. From the school year to the summer, their dedication and effort do not go unnoticed.
Thank you to our incredible cafeteria staff for all that you do—you truly are heroes of the Wolfpack!
Cinco de Mayo (May 5, 2025)
Happy Cinco de Mayo to all who celebrate! While often associated with festive parades, music, and food, Cinco de Mayo holds deeper historical significance. It commemorates the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, when the Mexican army achieved a surprising victory over French forces. Though not Mexico’s Independence Day, it has become a symbol of Mexican pride and resilience—especially celebrated in the United States to honor Mexican culture and heritage.
To those observing today, we celebrate with you and recognize the rich traditions, history, and contributions of the Mexican community!
Teacher Appreciation Week! (May 5 - 9, 2025)
This week, and every week, we celebrate and honor our amazing teachers—the heart of our school community. Their dedication, passion, and countless hours of lesson planning, classroom preparation, and student support do not go unnoticed.
Our teachers pour so much of themselves into ensuring every student feels seen, valued, and capable of success. They inspire curiosity, nurture growth, and create a safe space where learning comes alive.
To all of our incredible educators: thank you for your tireless commitment, your compassion, and the love you pour into your work each day. WSTA is better because of you—and our students are thriving because of your impact. We appreciate you more than words can express!
National Nurse's Week! (May 6 - 12, 2025)
This National Nurses Week, we want to give a heartfelt shoutout to our very own Nurse Sharon—one of the true heroes of our school community.
Nurse Sharon, we cannot begin to imagine what it’s like to do your job, but we see the care, compassion, and strength you bring every single day. From scraped knees to serious concerns, you meet every student with empathy and calm, no matter what’s happening around you. It takes someone incredibly special to do what you do—someone with resilience, heart, and unwavering dedication.
Thank you for being that person for our students, families, and staff. Your work may often happen behind the scenes, but it never goes unnoticed. You are truly incredible, and we are beyond lucky to have you as part of the Wolfpack.
Mother's Day (May 11, 2025)
This Mother's Day, we celebrate all who embody the heart of a mother in every form.
- To the moms, stepmoms, bonus moms, and first-time mamas…
- To the stand-in mamas who show up with love day after day…
- To the teachers who nurture their students like their own…
- To the trans mamas and fur baby mamas…
- To the mothers who have lost a child, and those mourning their own…
- To those longing to be mothers, and those navigating painful relationships with theirs…
We see you. We honor you. We celebrate you.
Motherhood comes in many forms, and on May 11th we recognize the love, strength, and care that each of you gives so selflessly. Thank you for being the heartbeats in our lives and communities. Happy Mother’s Day to every beautiful version of “mom.”
