Important dates
Jan. 8 - PreK classes resume
Jan. 20- No school- Martin L. King holiday
Feb. 4 100th day of school (can dress up as an old person or with a 100's shirt you make)
Feb. 13- 4th 6 weeks ends
Feb. 14 and 17- No school- Presidents' Day
What we will be learning this week
Animals are living things. They need air, food, water, and shelter.
Colors- black, gray, pink, white, brown, red, blue, green, orange, purple and yellow
Shapes- circle, square, rectangle, triangle, oval, star, rhombus/diamond and heart
Writing - Writing own name; review touch pull down/ strokes up and down, slant left, slant right (drawing shapes)
Math - addition problems up to 7, more/less, sorting and numbers up to 7, counting to 20 or higher
Reading -Word families: /an/, /un/, /it/. Introduce Uu. Review letters: M, A, S, T, I, F, N, O, P, C, K, and L.
Science: Living/Nonliving things, Caring for pets and plants in cold weather.
Birthday Treats
Any food treats need to be "store bought". Store bought cupcakes are fine - the smaller ones are great! Please contact your child's teacher so you can find out how many students are in the class.

On the first Wednesday of each month, you may wear a color shirt that helps support a cause that is special to you. You can click on the picture to see colors and what cause they represent.
