BFH Falcons View
February 10 to 14, 2025

Principal's Message
Dear Falcon students and families,
We are looking forward to our 2025 Open House event on Tuesday, February 11. This is always a great night, and we are excited to invite all interested grade nine students and their families to view the amazing opportunities we have here at Bev Facey. We are incredibly proud of our current students' accomplishments in our school community, and many of them will be at the event to share their passions and achievements. Please pass on the word to any interested families that might wish to attend. Valentines Day follows up on Friday the fourteenth and our FLI students have events planned.
As we move into the third week of the second semester we are excited to have our students moving on to the more challenging elements their new classes will present. A reminder that every second and fourth Wednesday of the month will feature academic coaching from 2:17 p.m. to 3:17 p.m. during our Opportunity Wednesdays. These are excellent chances for students to fill in gaps in their understanding or even to be able to re-solidify the knowledge they just recently acquired in a class. Please take the time to encourage your child to take advantage of these sessions.
This week will also see us continuing the returning student registration process. I would like to encourage all of you who have not registered your students to do so in the next week, as the window is only open for 14 days. The process will be closing on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2025.
I hope you all have an amazing week, and as always, if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
Ken Wlos
Principal
Bev Facey Community High School
EIPS Returning Student Registration is Feb. 10th to 24th only!
EIPS returning student registration is February 10 to 24 only! Bev Facey has an Open Boundary!
**We will be accepting all new students and encourage any grade 9 students and their parents to attend our February 11 - Open House (6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) to get more information and a glimpse of our awesome school community.
The 2025-26 returning student registration process for all current EIPS students will take place Feb. 10-24, 2025. Families who apply to attend a non-designated school will be advised of the outcome by early March.
Between 9:00 a.m. and noon on February 10, current EIPS families will receive a Returning Student Registration 2025-26 form via Permission Click. No log in is required to complete the form.
All current PALS to Grade 11 students in EIPS must complete the returning student registration process—whether they're continuing at the same school or moving to a new school next year:
- if you'd like your child to attend your designated school next year;
- if you'd like to apply to have your child attend a non-designated school or program next year;
- if your child is applying to join or continue in an alternative program; or
- if your child will not return to EIPS next year.
Applying to a non-designated school or program:
To be considered for enrolment in a non-designated school or program in the upcoming school year, families must make that request during the returning student registration process. Acceptance at a requested non-designated school or program is based on available space. Some EIPS schools have closed boundaries because of high enrolment numbers and are not accepting registrations from non-designated students.
NOTE: All requests to attend a specific school or program for returning students in grades 1-12 must be completed during the returning student registration process to be considered for the next school year. The only exception: students who move into the Division from outside the geographic area, or another community within the Division, following the deadline. The Division will contact all families who apply to attend a non-designated school to advise of the outcome by early March.

This February 26th, let’s come together, wear pink, and show that we stand for inclusion, respect, and healthy relationships. Whether at school, work, or with family and friends, we can all create safe spaces by supporting one another.
