Youth Engagement Council
On behalf of the Oklahoma City Police Department and our Youth Enrichment Services Unit, we are excited to introduce an initiative to bridge the gap between our community’s youth and law enforcement. The Youth Engagement Council is a program where high school students from the Oklahoma City metro area can participate in four student-led discussions focused on key issues related to policing and their community.
We value the insights of tomorrow’s leaders and believe this program provides students with a platform to share their perspectives and foster mutual understanding. They also have the opportunity to earn volunteer credit, including hours towards the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
Meetings will be held from 5pm to 7pm at various police stations throughout the city:
- October 8th, 2024 – Hefner Station, 3924 NW 122nd St.
- January 9th, 2024 – Springlake Station, 4116 N. Prospect Ave.
- March 6th, 2025 – Santa Fe Station, 9000. S. Santa Fe Ave.
- May 1st, 2025 – Southwest Station, 5501 S. Portland Ave.
