Staff Credits
I appreciate Jesse Hall & staff for perseverance & care for our Community Center & members. Jesse has diligently pushed multiple vendors for the last 15 days to resolve the pool's failure to maintain temperature. Trane guarantees problem will be fixed with replacement part now being built in Canada, will ship late next week & installed. Currently pool temps have raised to 79-80 degrees (4-5 degrees below desired); classes & members have access to the pool again. We apologize for inconveniences & want you back.

Key Project Updates
- Community Center receives funds from Parkinson Foundation and Liberty Hospital to support wellness activities at the Center. WHY? Expand class offerings, improve wellness opportunities and personal enjoyment.
- City is taking steps to refinance Water/Sewer bonds; receives "A" rating from Standards & Poor (forward-looking opinion about the creditworthiness of an obligor). [Funding: Water/Sewer Rates] WHY? Refinancing enables us to achieve better interest rates, possible to save $2.5 million over remaining term of loan.
- Police acquires Rapid ID device allowing officers in field to quickly identify subjects from a single fingerprint scan. [Funding: MO Police Chief's Charitable Foundation] WHY? Improved technology enables better decisions, improved officer & public safety.
- St. Louis/Shirewood sewer project construction is scheduled to begin March 2nd. [Funding: CIP] WHY? Eliminate septic tank failures, end pollution, prevent condemnation of several homes.
