There’s an old adage that you have to know where you’ve been in order to know where you’re going.

That’s why I’d like to strongly encourage you to complete the YouthTruth Survey to provide feedback on your experience in Cedar Hill ISD.

YouthTruth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting hundreds of schools and districts across the United States. They specialize in conducting anonymous surveys.

Please take the 15-minute survey before it closes at midnight on Friday, November 22, 2024 by clicking here:

The survey must be completed in one sitting, and we ask that one member of each household fills out the survey.

If you have more than one child who attends the same campus, you may respond once per child.

If you have any comments, please do not include your name or any other identifiers. Your responses are anonymous, and they’ll be combined with other CHISD parents and guardians to be shared with campus and district leadership.

YouthTruth is such a valuable part of the district’s efforts to provide the best experience possible.

Each fall, Cedar Hill ISD opens its "Choose Your Seat" school choice application window. Choose Your Seat allows students and families to take advantage of specific academic programs that will educate, empower, and inspire! The application window is NOW OPEN and will close on January 24, 2025.

Waterford Oaks and Plummer Choice Programs Launch Delayed to 26-27: After careful consideration, CHISD Superintendent Dr. Gerald Hudson and the Innovation Department have decided to delay the Waterford Oaks and Plummer school choice programs until the 2026-27 school year. The priority is to ensure that the onboarding and training processes are carried out with fidelity, allowing time for all involved to gain a solid foundation in the program's requirements and goals.

• Waterford Oaks Digital Advancement Technology Academy (now launching 2026-27)
• Plummer Elementary Biomedical Science Academy (now launching 2026-27)
