RJR Attendance Information
RJR is helping to lead the district in daily attendance, but parents we need your help!
RJ's attendance for this week was 96% which is an improvement from years past.
Remember, when your child is absent or even checked out early, they are missing valuable learning that can't be replicated by make-up work sent home!
Our students are actively engaged in guided practice, class collaborative learning and projects, as well as small group instruction that is tailored to their individual learning needs in class. Missing even parts of days can have an impact on their learning!
Should your child need an appointment of any kind, we ask that you try to schedule it beyond school hours whenever possible.
Thank you RJ Bulldog Parents & Families! We are still aiming for 98% weeks, and your help and support can help us get there!
Attendance @ School Matters! RJ's Mission to Make EVERY school day count!
- Should you need to sign-your student out early during the day, please have your ID.
- All parents/guardians will be asked to sign your student out as we are required to track student attendance and parts of day out of school. We will be able to code and excuse your child's early checkout with a doctor's note returned the next day.
- Excessive check-out earlies do affect student attendance and can accumulate for days missed from school.
- Time out or away from school, even significant tardies and/or check-out earlies WILL affect your child's attendance awards.
Submitting an Absence Note?
There are 2 easy ways to provide documentation for your child's absence IF they need to be away from school at anytime:
- You can send your child with an absence note to turn-into the front office. There is an "absence note" box where all students can place their absence letters or doctor's notes that our registrar documents daily.
- You can also scan in doctor's notes and/or send parent communication regarding your child's absences to our attendance registrar @ rsuter@burnetcisd.net
Did you Know? Attendance Edition:
Did you know that just 2 absences in a Six Weeks can mean YOUR child is CHRONICALLY ABSENT?
Do you know the research about Chronically Absent student performance?
Did you know that when Absences ADD UP this one statistic can contribute to below grade-level achievement and increase in social emotional anxiety for students?
Fall Teacher Spotlight - Nominate Your RJ Teacher!
Pedernales Electric Cooperative Teacher Spotlight Award
Pedernales Electric Cooperative invests in an array of educational programs to help brighten classrooms and communities across the Texas Hill Country.
For a second school year, PEC will host a Teacher Spotlight Award to recognize the incredible work teachers do in their classrooms and communities.
PEC is accepting nominations for the Teacher Spotlight Award through October 25 and encourages members to fill out the form online. Please feel free to share this with your community to recognize your hardworking educators.
From the nominations received, PEC will select teachers from across the co-op’s service territory to receive awards.
This round’s winners will be announced in November and PEC will visit the teachers at their schools to present them with a thank-you basket of resources and materials to support classroom learning.
