Parent Representatives - STEAM TEAM
Hello Parents/Guardians,
We are looking for a few willing participants to join our 'STEAM' Team: an opportunity to collaborate with CMS staff, students, administrators, and outside organizations about the implementation of MyCAP content. This team will brainstorm and plan curriculum across all grades 6-8 that have a core focus on career exploration and skill-building.
There will be 2 Saturday meetings that will run for 4 hours. The first will be in November November 9th. These longer meetings are to plan out the scope and sequence for each grade as well as beginning to brainstorm lessons/activities. We will then meet once a month after school for more brief check-ins and planning.

Football Games
Dear Salem Public Schools Community,
On Friday evening, Salem High School is hosting our annual homecoming and senior night football game against KIPP Academy Lynn at 6:30 pm. We expect a large crowd filled with energy and passionate school spirit as we welcome our alumni back to our community. We are excited to have a strong fan base ready to cheer on the Witches!
Given the expected turnout, we are taking extra measures to keep everyone safe and positively focused on the game. For this game, students who are in the middle school grades or younger will need to be accompanied by an adult to attend. They will not be permitted to enter the game without the supervision of an adult. Recently, we have seen a high number of middle school students from Salem and local communities attending who are unsupervised throughout the game. Often these students are not paying attention to what is happening on the field and engaging in behavior that is not consistent with our expectations that fans remain respectful and display strong sportsmanship. We appreciate your help by coming with your child to the game and reiterating the importance of upholding our school system’s values.
As a reminder, as per our policy, students will not be permitted to bring bags into the game and there will be no re-entry for spectators after half-time.
Thank you for your partnership as we ensure that all in attendance have an enjoyable experience supporting their teams!
