Happy Summer! North Dakota is blessed with many lakes for summer recreation opportunities. IN addition to your swimwear or fishing gear, don’t forget to grab a book for relaxation! What? You don’t have a book? I can help you with that!
Wilton students have access to our digital library, library2go. https://ndlibrary2go.overdrive.com/ This is a service offered through the Bookmobile. It has thousands of magazines, eBooks, audiobooks and videos that students can check out from any device that has internet access. If your child does not know their login information, please contact me and I will get it for you. The Bookmobile usually makes monthly visits to Wilton during the summer. When I get that schedule, I will post it on the school’s website. There are many opportunities to read. Happy times!
Libraries are supposed to be a place of community. If you are looking for free activities for you and your family this summer, I would encourage you to keep abreast of activities occurring in nearby town libraries. Here is a link to the Bismarck Veteran’s Library home page. Scroll down just a little bit and you will see their monthly calendar. https://www.bismarcklibrary.org/ Check it often, as they have lots of activities each month, summer or not. Fun times!
Finally, if you don’t mind subscribing to an online library, Wilton students also have access to EPIC. During the school day, students can read for free. I have read some things online about free reading 2 hours per week. I am not sure if students are allowed to read free during the summer “school hours”, but it is worth a try! Encourage your child to go to https://kids.getepic.com/students . If they do not remember the class code, please email me and I will give it to you. Good times!
Enjoy your summer! Take time to relax and enjoy your family. And don’t forget to read no matter where you go!!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Quinn
