Now that the lazy days of summer are here, we want to wish you and your families a fantastic break filled with joy, relaxation, and new adventures. We encourage you to make the most of this time for family fun, outdoor activities, and perhaps even some summer reading to keep those brilliant minds engaged!

We eagerly anticipate welcoming our returning students back in the fall, refreshed and ready for another exciting year of learning and growth. For our students moving on to new adventures, we wish them all the best and know they will continue to thrive.

I'm thrilled to announce that our building theme for the upcoming school year, as voted on by our amazing staff and students, will be a sports theme! Get ready for a year filled with teamwork, perseverance, and a whole lot of school spirit!

We are excited to announce that RCES will once again be offering our popular July Jumpstart Sessions!

What are Jumpstart Sessions?

These special sessions are designed to give students entering 1st-5th grade a fantastic head start on the upcoming school year. Our focus is on reviewing the most important reading and math skills from the previous grade level, then smoothly connecting them to the skills your child will be learning in their new grade. It's a great way to refresh their memory and build confidence before the school year officially begins.

Typically, space in our Jumpstart Sessions is very limited. However, we're thrilled to share that this year we have several openings available for students entering 1st through 5th grade! This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to get individualized attention and reinforce key concepts.

Session Details:

• Dates:
  • July 21st - July 24th (Monday - Thursday)
  • July 28th - July 31st (Monday - Thursday)
  • That's eight days of focused learning!
• Time: Sessions for each subject area (reading and math) will be one hour long and scheduled between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

How to Sign Up:

If you're interested in giving your child this valuable "jumpstart," please complete our interest form: RCES Jumpstart Interest Form

Spaces are still limited, so please complete the form as soon as possible. We'll follow up with more details once we've received your interest. The form will close on July 9th.

We're excited to help your child prepare for a successful and confident start to the next school year!

If you haven't already, please register your child for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year soon! Completing this process early helps us with planning for the new school year.

It's important to note that if your child is not registered, they may not have transportation for the first week of the school year.

We may ask you to verify residency during registration. To ensure a smooth process, please have all necessary documentation ready.

August 13th & 14th PreK & Kindergarten Orientation—Times TBD

Families will be notified of the day and time in early July!

Please note: You must have all required paperwork (birth certificate and residency) on file and completed registration in PowerSchool to be scheduled for orientation.

August 13th: First Student Attendance Day for 1st-5th grade students!
