Alternative Income Forms - Replacing Free/Reduced Forms for CEP Schools
Alternative income forms are completed by families in replacement of free and reduced-price meal applications when a school utilizes the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). CEP allows schools to serve all students breakfast and lunch at no cost without collecting meal applications from families. Redding is currently a CEP school where all students receive free lunch and breakfast. Alternative income forms are used for programs and funding sources that previously relied on free and reduced forms, the information from these forms specifically help fund instructional assistants (aids), teachers, and our instructional coach, which have a significant impact on student outcomes. Filling out the Alternative Income Application may also help qualify you for SUN Bucks (Summer Food Stamp Benefits- it is never too early to be thinking about Summer Food). Please click HERE to complete the application (the application says online free & reduced school meals application) and help Redding receive more funding! **Discliamer: If you fill out the form and get a return email with the following message: "Please DO NOT fill out an application for free or reduced price meals for the child(ren) listed above" that means you are more than likely already directly certified. Nothing needs to be done following this.**
Please call Mrs. Stahl with any questions or help with the online application.

Snacks at Lunch
Students in ALL grades will now have the option to purchase snacks during lunch. These snacks range from chips and crackers, to ice cream on Friday. Students must have money in their lunch accounts to purchase snacks. If a student has no money or a negative balance, they will not be able to purchase snacks. To put money in your child's account, send an envelope to school with your students name, students teacher, and amount of money or add it online HERE.
All Pro Dad
We had a tremendous turnout for our first All Pro Dads meeting in September. All Pro Dad is a monthly gathering where dads get to intentionally engage with their kids! This of course is not just limited to dads, but all children and a guardian. However, all children must be accompanied by an adult. There will be fun activities and a character-based curriculum that helps dads start meaningful conversations with their kids. Next Meeting: October 11th IN REDDING GYM (7:30 - 8:15 a.m.) **Reminder there is no School on Friday, October 4th.**
🚁🚑Redding Safety Day 🚁🚑
Thursday, October 31st Redding will host our annual safety day. We will have many Safety Agencies on site for this event. Safety day will take place outside - students may need a light jacket/sweatshirt while attending.

Water Bottles - Water Only Please
A reminder that students are welcome to bring water bottles to school with them as long as these contain water only. These items are prone to spilling as students move throughout the building/classroom and we want to limit any possible damage to our carpet.
News from the Nurse Mrs. Lesa Kerkhof
· Our Kindergarten students are required to have a dental, vision, and physical before starting school. Please continue to send these records to the office.
· All new medications need to be brought into school by a parent or guardian in the original container. A medication form needs to be signed and kept on file in our office.
· Remember students need to be fever free without medication for 24 hrs prior to coming back to school.
· If you have any health concerns for your child please call into the office and speak to the nurse. We look forward to working together to keep our students healthy and in class.
