Principal's Update
Dear Kenwood Families,
We had an action-packed day today! During our final All School Morning Meeting we celebrated PRIDE winners, our Playworks Junior Coaches, and the ten students who checked out the most library books this academic year. The kindergarteners sang their Thank You Song, and the whole school sang the Peace Round. Both songs were very sweet and moving.
Natalie Quinn, parent volunteer, also revealed the yearbook cover artists (congrats, Annika, Annabelle, and Mila!) as well as the other talented student artists who contributed to the back cover of the yearbook. All students will bring a yearbook home today!
Many thanks to our fifth grade leaders who emceed ASMM today: Cora, Freya, John, Ari, Will, and Vinny.
Additionally, Clifford the Big Red Dog visited with students in kindergarten, first, and second grades to help generate excitement for summer reading. All students will bring home their Scholastic Book packs consisting of five titles that they selected themselves before June 6. Check their backpacks for amazing fiction and non-fiction titles! Please read to and with your children throughout the summer – time outside, active play, and good books are critical to an awesome vacation!
I look forward to celebrating important milestones next week: the Kindergarten Completion Ceremony is on Wednesday at 3:00 in the lunchroom. The 5th Grade Completion Ceremony is at 10:00 in the gym on Thursday. Our students have grown tremendously and we’re so proud of their many accomplishments this year.
Try to catch Anwatin Middle School’s production of Moana tonight or tomorrow night at 7:00 pm if your schedules permit. Former Kenwood students are stars in the show!
I wish you all a wonderful weekend.

Big News, Kenwood Families! The Outdoor Classroom Is Happening!
We’ve raised enough funds to break ground this summer. Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated to make this excellent addition to the Kenwood campus a reality. Any amount helps, so if you haven’t donated yet but wanted to, or want to help make sure we can make it magical, please donate using the QR code below or Venmo @KenwoodPTAMpls.

2025-2026 School Year Bus Riders: Save Your Seat on the Bus with our New App 🚌
Dear Kenwood Caregivers:
It's time to plan transportation for the 2025-26 school year! We're excited to introduce My Ride, a new GPS app for caregivers to request busing for students. Download the app, create an account, and submit a Save Your Seat form for each student who needs busing.
You'll receive your bus schedule through the app before school starts and can track the bus in real time during the school year. If you prefer not to use the app, contact your student's school to submit a request on your behalf. All families must complete the transportation form by June 6, even if your schedule remains the same. Reach out to your student's school with questions.

The 2024-2025 Kenwood Yearbook!
It’s arrived & is going home with your students today! The 2024-2025 Kenwood Yearbook!
This annual publication highlights the events of the Kenwood school year. This year the yearbook cover art was created by three fourth graders; Annika A., Annabelle O. & Mila R. from Ms. Kronmiller's class. The back of the yearbook includes the nine runner-ups artwork. So many creative art pieces were submitted for the cover. We had over 50 students that submitted artwork! We hope your child enjoys looking through the book & remembering all the fun memories of this year! Many thanks to Natalie Quinn, PTA Volunteer and Yearbook Coordinator, for her dedication to creating a wonderful memory book for this academic year.
