Livingston Avenue School Community
October 27, 2024
Dear LAS Families,
I hope everyone enjoyed this beautiful fall weekend! I know my own kids enjoyed some Trunk or Treating and pumpkin carving this weekend. We are all excited for Halloween this Thursday! Please be sure to complete the Halloween form to let us know if you plan to have your child go home for lunch. The parade route will begin out of the Denman side door, head down Livingston Avenue, and re-enter at the library door. Please keep in mind that costumes should be appropriate for school. No weapons of any kind will be allowed for the parade. Students that have a mask for their costume will be allowed to wear it for the parade only but must be able to fully see where they are going:)
For students going home at lunch, please note that fourth/fifth graders will be released from the library door and third graders will be dismissed from the Denman Avenue door at 11:40. Any student that is staying for lunch will eat in the cafeteria from 11:40-12:10 and then will have time to change into costume at 12:10. If your child is leaving at lunch, they must be picked up by an adult and we need this form completed.
With all of the excitement happening, the students have been trying harder than ever to make positive choices at school. Please have a chat with them about staying in control of their minds and bodies this week. We love the excitement and joy, but we also need students to keep hands to themselves especially during unstructured times like arrival/dismissal and recess. Your partnership is appreciated! Enjoy this beautiful Sunday!
