March 3rd through the 7th is Read Across America Week and to get into the spirit we will be having dress up days Monday-Friday. Take a look at the schedule below and remember: “reading is a passport to countless adventures,” Mary Pope Osborne.

At WCPSParentGuidance.org you can explore 73 on-demand courses that will offer you limitless learning opportunities as a parent, caregiver, and educator. Bullying, anxiety, ADHD, School Avoidance, Substance Abuse, and Vaping are just a few key topics all families face today. You’ll also find answers to your most urgent questions in the Ask a Therapist tab where top clinicians answer over 100 tough parenting questions with a video response and transcript. Social media has made it very challenging to guide children healthfully today. These resources cover a wide range of topics to educate us and make us more impactful in guiding our families.

The John Battle Soccer Team is selling "JSB" Umbrellas, in hopes of raising money for equipment, apparel, gifts, etc., as well as assisting with materials for a new Junior Varsity coed team to play this spring. This is a pre order and umbrellas will cost $25 each. They are the large 48'' ones. Umbrellas will be delivered to you. You may purchase at the link below or at the QR attachment.

We would like to thank all of our families that have donated to the PBIS store. Students are excited to be able to spend their Bulldog Bucks they are earning during the 3rd nine weeks. The 3rd nine weeks PBIS store will be March 12, 2025. If you would still like to donate, please review the attached letter below.

VIES is looking for parent volunteers to assist with various events and activities throughout the school year. If you are interested, please contact the school to learn more about the background check process and possible opportunities.

We have several ways to stay connected to your child's education and teachers. Every parent has access to ParentPortal which allows you to see grades and attendance. You can register on the county website if you have not already signed up or you can call the school and request your student's login information.

Every grade uses an app to maintain communication between parents/guardians and teachers. Please see the list below on which app you should download to stay connected to your student's teacher:
