Parent/Teacher Conferences - Thursday, October 10
Next Thursday, you will have the opportunity to meet with your child's teachers. If your child is not currently successful in a class, their teacher will be reaching out to you to offer a meeting to discuss your child's progress.
Parent-teacher conferences allow parents and teachers to discuss a student's progress and work together to support the student's academic and personal development. The purpose of these conferences is to:
Build relationships
Parent-teacher conferences help establish a positive and trusting relationship between parents and teachers. This can create a supportive environment for the child.
Share information
Parents and teachers can share information about the student's progress, strengths, needs, and learning styles.
Identify issues
Conferences can help identify learning difficulties or behavioral issues early on.
Set goals
Parents and teachers can work together to set educational goals for the child.
Understand expectations
Parents can learn about the curriculum, teaching methods, and classroom expectations.
Develop plans
Parents and teachers can work together to develop a plan for academic success.
The Endeavor teachers will be available for meetings from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm. Meetings will be 30 minutes in length. Meetings can be in person or over the phone. If you would like to schedule a meeting, you can contact your child's teacher or the front office at 281-457-0086.

ASVAB Test
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a standardized test that helps determine a person's suitability for military service and job training. All high school students in Texas have the opportunity to take the test.
The purpose of the ASVAB is used to evaluate a person's strengths and potential for success in military training. It can also help identify careers that may be a good fit for a person. The ASVAB covers a range of subjects, including math, reading, mechanical comprehension, and electrical systems.
The ASVAB is given by all military branches. It is typically taken by students in grades 10–12. A minimum score of 31 is required to join the military, but higher scores qualify for more career fields and enlistment bonuses. There is no obligation to join the military after taking the ASVAB.
Endeavor eleventh and twelfth grade students will take the test on Monday, October 7. The test will begin at 8:45 and will go until noon. We will be on the "Test Bell Schedule." Class periods 1-4 will meet, then be dismissed for lunch. Periods 5-7 will follow. Please be here on time with a charged Chromebook.
PSAT
he PSAT/NMSQT stands for the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which students take as a sophomore or junior. High enough marks on the PSAT/NMSQT as a junior can help a student land a National Merit Scholarship, which can mean big bucks for college.
Taking the PSAT can get you a good sense of your future SAT score.
The benefit of this common scale is that taking one or more of the PSAT suite of tests will give you an idea of what score you can expect to get on the SAT. It will also show you where your strengths and weaknesses lie.
Colleges won't see your 10th grade PSAT score. Instead, they'll be interested in your SAT or ACT scores, your coursework, grades, and the other experiences and achievements you'll list on your application. Use your PSAT experience as a learning opportunity.
Endeavor tenth grade students will take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 9.
