Worthington Kilbourne Weekly News
Week of March 10, 2025
Dear Kilbourne Family,
Did you catch the musical? How about the choir concert or band concert last week? Our students are incredibly talented and I am grateful for their commitment to be involved. I also would be remiss if I didn't highlight our directors. They do so much great work for our students and they provide these awesome opportunities to highlight their talents. Our PACK is strong and we appreciate your unwavering support.
Other things going on in the school are the upcoming Academic Honors Night on Tuesday evening. We will honor sophomores and juniors with bronze and gold academic keys for earning a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher after the third and fifth semesters respectively. Additionally, our Spring sports are underway and we look forward to catching you at a game. There are plenty of opportunities to come out and support the Wolves and we hope to see you soon.
Respectfully,
Aric Thomas, Principal

Pathways and Possibilities Day / Wednesday, March 19 during lunch periods
The School Counseling Team is excited to share that on Wednesday, March 19, we will be hosting Pathways and Possibilities Day during all lunch periods in the Commons. This event, sponsored by the WKHS Activity Club, is designed to introduce our students to career opportunities that do not typically require a four-year degree.
There will be approximately 20 career professionals available for students to engage with in an informal, walk-up setting. For some students, these jobs may provide a pathway to a fulfilling lifelong career. For others, they may serve as an opportunity to earn a certification and secure a higher-paying part-time job while pursuing a college degree.
We would like to ask for your support in spreading the word about this event to your students and emphasize the importance of exploring multiple career pathways. For additional context on why we believe this event is so valuable, we've included links to two articles that highlight the significance of hands-on career exploration and workforce readiness.
- If high school seniors don’t have a dream
- Shut Out: High school students learn about careers but can’t try one that pays
We are looking forward to this event and can't wait to see our students engaging with career professionals and working to define their future!

How to obtain a Student ID
School pictures and pictures for student IDs were taken by HR Imaging during Schedule Pick-Up days, and on Makeup and Retake Days. If you did not have your picture taken by HR Imaging, stop by the Counseling Center and ask them to take your picture. IDs are used to check into the office when arriving after the school day begins. Student IDs also are required to enter all home athletic events for free.
Download your digital ID now
We are now providing digital IDs for students! The image can be saved to a mobile device for use throughout the school year. Students should scan this QR code to retrieve their ID image. They will need to use their last name and their student ID number to access their Digital ID (your ID number is available through Infinite Campus.) Images can be sent via email or text.
These IDs are needed when students enter the building during the school day if they arrive after the start time (8:40 a.m.). A student uses their ID to check in at the attendance office. They also need their school ID to attend extracurricular activities such as school dances and to enter any home athletic events.
