Bobcat Bulletin
Week of August 26th
Week of December 9th, 2024
From the Desk of Principal Schmid
Hello Bobcat Families,
We had a great week in the Bobcat Den! Students returned excited to learn and grow during our few weeks together in 2024! During the last week of 2024, we will be "Popping into 2025" with various fun activities each day connected to our Positive Behavior System. Students unlcoked PAW 2 and got to see our next Masked Singer Video as part of our December Video Annoucements, which was a unicorn dancing to Wicked's "Defying Gravity". At our end-of-the-year assembly, each of our masked singers will perform and be revealed; we are all looking forward to it! We had a PAW Pull today as students are working towards unlocking PAW 3: Neon Lunch!
Our focus leading up to winter break has been expected hallway behavior to ensure we are respecting learning happening all around our building during different times of our day. Our students have been working hard as a class team to earn Golden Tickets for demonstrating good hallway expectations--they are rocking it! As we always say, we are on the lookout to catch them showing the Bobcat Way: Respect, Responsibility, Safety, and Kindness! So many of our Bobcats model this each day, and we are so proud of them and appreciate the modeling they do for others!
Our Bobcats have thrived in 2024, and we can't wait to see the great things they do in 2025! As always, we thank you for sharing them with us. They are the best part of each day!
Respectfully,
Mrs. Keeley Schmid

Attendance Matters: Thank You!
At Broodkale, we understand that life can sometimes get in the way of maintaining regular school attendance. Whether it's unexpected challenges, health concerns, or family commitments, we know how hard it can be to juggle everything.
Attendance is essential to your child’s success, not only academically but also socially and emotionally. Each day at school provides opportunities for learning, connecting with friends, and exploring new ideas. Our team is here to help ensure that every child has the support they need to attend regularly and thrive.
If you’re facing barriers that make attendance difficult, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Whether you need assistance with transportation, navigating medical appointments, or other resources, we’re ready to work together to find solutions.
Your child’s success is our top priority, and we believe that by partnering with families, we can help every student succeed. Thank you for being an integral part of our school community. Let’s work together to make 2025 a great year for everyone!
Winter Season is Upon Us!
Please dress your child to be outside during recess. District 204's practices are to go outside as long as the "feels like" temperature is 5 degrees or above. Fresh air and movement are good for our students, and we hope mother nature allows as many opportunities as possible this winter season! If you are in need of support to ensure your child has the proper clothing for the winter season, please don't hesitate to reach out to our main office.
Carline Reminders
When using the carline, please follow the car rider visual map. The carline begins on Bainbridge Drive; please do not cut the line. During arrival, the carline should not begin unloading until staff are on supervision at 8:50am (9:00am on Wednesdays). Please ensure you pull all the way up when instructed by staff. We are all a part of ensuring our arrival/dismissal procedures are smooth to help create a safe environment for our community! Thank you in advance for your cooperation in following these procedures.

Directory Spot
We are thrilled to be able to once again sponsor and offer a searchable directory for Brookdale. As your PTA, we strongly believe in bolstering community with our Bobcat families and understand that a current directory is vital to unlocking new friendships and strengthening our connections. We're proud to have this opportunity to bring us together once again.
To access the Brookdale School Directory, you need to download the DirectorySpot app from your mobile device store. Once you create a password and login, you will be able to search by student name or family name for their contact information. Searching by teacher allows the user to see the students in that teacher's class. Please note: the information in this directory was what each family chose to share with the district during registration. There are some families who opted out of sharing their contact information and have been omitted from this directory. If you would like to be included in the directory please or having any issues contact the PTA at pta.brookdale.bobcat@gmail.com
