MAET students mix up the perfect recipes for success
CEP810-Cooking with TPACK
Technology, pedagogy, content, and knowledge are the essential components of the TPACK theory developed by Michigan State scholars Punya Mishra and Matthew Koehler. During Week 6, students ventured to the kitchen where they improvised and "cooked with TPACK." Given three kitchen items (chosen by someone else), students had to complete a simple task. Whether it was make fruit salad, make a peanut butter and jelly or make a cheese tray, they had to improvise and work with what was available. This idea brought awareness to the complexities and restraints of technology integration and innovation within today's classrooms. Check out the "Cooking with TPACK" activity below.

CEP 811-Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
A Universal Design for Learning? One lesson fits all? Is there such a thing? Students in CEP811 revisited their maker lessons with new knowledge...a better understanding of UDL (Universal Design for Learning). Students mixed in various means of representation, engagement, action and expression. Understanding the Universal Design for Learning can make lesson planning seem a bit less daunting despite the barriers within today's classrooms. Below are a few wonderful representations of mixing in the right ingredients to create a successful lesson plan.
CEP812-Wicked Problem (almost)
CEP812 students focused solely on their Wicked Problems of practice and representing possible solutions. The think tanks concentrated on Project Based Learning and failure as a tool for learning. They mixed it all up curating their thoughts and projects together using Blendspace. This was a perfect representation of their journey thus far and included collaborative audio, visualizations and white papers. Take a peek at their curations below!
