Veterans Day!
Cheyenne’s Veterans Day Celebration!
Letter to Parents
Our school will observe Veterans Day on Friday, November 8th. Cheyenne honors this day with an eighth-grade assembly!
I would like to extend an invitation to any veterans we have in our Cheyenne community. Our assembly, on the 8th, will start at 1:00 pm and last about an hour. If our students' parents, grandparents, or any other family members are veterans, we would like to honor them by inviting them and one guest member accompanying them to sit in our special reserved VIP section for the presentation, and to be recognized by the students, staff, and the entire Edmond community for their service to this great country. All you have to do is email me so I can have an idea of how many will be attending. logan.day@edmondschools.net
On the 8th, you may dress casual/comfortable or wear your colors and arrive at the school at 12:00 pm. This year, we will provide a reception of finger foods and desserts at 12:15 in the library for the veterans to enjoy while they wait for the assembly. We are excited about hosting a reception to go along with our celebration so that we may offer our guests time to visit with each other.
Cheyenne is honored to have our veterans and we want our students to be fully aware of the sacrifices that have been made to ensure our freedom. Please respond before Monday, November, 4th to be added to the guest list.
