Windermere Weekly Update

We had an INCREDIBLE first week at Windermere! It was great to have the students back in the building.

Teachers will present information in 3 different 20 minute sessions. You can go to any of the sessions as it will be repeated content. This is so that families with multiple children can attend different grade level sessions.

Sessions will start at:

5:35, 6:00 and 6:25

If you didn't see the email from MySchoolBucks, they stated that the AutoPay was being disabled. You will have to go in and re-authorize AutoPay to get started again.

If you have not filled out your free and reduced lunch application this year, you need to do so ASAP! Your current status will end on September 24th! That means if you previously qualified last year and you do not fill out the application for the 24-25 school year, your student will have to pay full price for lunches starting the next school day! The application is linked at the bottom of this page! Or click the picture to the left.

Save the date for Grandparents Lunch - Monday, September 9th! More information to come.

Dismissal is going really well and we're getting faster each day! Thank you for all you do to keep everything moving and having patience!

Reminders:

A FEW VERY IMPORTANT THINGS ABOUT DROP OFF:

• DO NOT DROP OFF IN THE PARKING LOT - we ask that if you want to park in the parking lot that you walk your child across the crosswalk. Do not let your child out of the car in the parking lot to walk across alone.
• DO NOT DROP OFF IN THE BUS LOOP - the bus loop is for buses and parents to drop off/pick up students who have special needs. The parents who are authorized have a different car tag than everyone else.
• DO NOT PARK IN THE BUS LOOP - again, the bus loop is not intended for this purpose. We have parking lots on either side of the building and the bus loop needs to remain clear.

This was completed the last couple of weeks of school last year, but in case you missed it...

You will no longer be able to enter the office without being buzzed in. The outside door to the building that has always been unlocked during the day will still be unlocked. When you enter the vestibule, you will turn to the window on your left. Push the button which will alert someone that you're there. Depending on your need(s) you'll either be asked to wait in the vestibule or you'll be buzzed into the office. This is a state and district mandated safety upgrade. We apologize for the inconvenience, but ultimately it is designed to be a stop gap for anyone trying to enter the building that shouldn't. At the end of the day, we will do any and everything we can to keep our students and staff safe.
