Aspen Celebrates Disability History Month!
Aspen Celebrates Women's History Month!
Each year, National Women’s History Month offers an opportunity to honor the contributions women have made to our nation and society. Aspen is proud to recognize the accomplishments of women all year through and especially this March. The 2025 National Women's History Month theme is "Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations."
Shamrock Grams For Sale!
Student Council will be selling Shamrock Grams for $1 after school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the courtyard or in Room 7 if it is raining. The Shamrock Grams will be delivered to students on Friday, March 14th.
CVUSD Enrollment for NEW STUDENTS starting in the 25/26 School Year opens online on Monday. Families may proceed to https://conejo.vcoe.org/preenrollment (or:https://conejo.vcoe.org/ and click on the "Online New Student Enrollment" button) to begin the enrollment process for their new student. Please remember that if you are here on School Choice for a current student OR you have moved out of our assigned attendance area since starting at Aspen, you must complete a School Choice application (due 1/31) for any new students needing to enroll. Please proceed with online pre-enrollment for your new Kindergarten or TK student and reach out to the Office Manager at your assigned neighborhood school after completion. If your new student is approved for School Choice, their enrollment record will be transferred at that time. Please reach out to Stacey if you have any questions at all about the process.
For the 2025-2026 academic school year, students who will be five years of age by September 1, 2025 are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten (no exceptions).
For the 2025-2026 academic school year, students born between 9/2/2020 and 9/1/2021 are eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) only (per EDC 48000 (c) (1) (F)). A child who will have their fifth birthday between July 1, 2025 and September 1, 2025 may be admitted to a TK or Kindergarten program based on the choosing of the parent/guardian.

CVUSD Advisory Councils and Committees 5 Key Takeaways
Parking Lot Safety
The following guidelines will assist us in keeping our students safe in the parking lot:
- Proceed in the Aspen parking lot at no more than 5 miles per hour.
- Walk with your child across the parking lot using the marked crosswalk.
- Do not allow your child to walk unattended between cars.
- Stay in the right hand lane, move all the way forward, and drop your student off from the right side of the vehicle.
- Never leave your vehicle unattended in the drive-thru lanes.
- Follow the California Vehicle Code laws.
- Remind your child to respect people’s property.
Consider the following:
- You may pull up to the curb at the front of the school to drop off your student.
- You may park on the street on Oberlin or Marlowe and walk your student on campus.
- Please do not block driveways.
- Be mindful of labeled No Parking zones near the crosswalks.
- The gates at the front of the school will be open for entry and exit. There will not be access through the gate on Marlowe before school.
- Arrange with your student ahead of time a location for pickup.
