Dear Seymour Smith Community:

Merry & Bright – that’s how I measure our days at Seymour. Do our kids come and leave happy? Do they have the chance to shine? Your child can glow and grow in various ways here at SSILC, and I truly believe that reading is at the foundation. In school students are looking at pictures, jotting down notes, sharing ideas with friends and building stamina while reading.

Winter break is a great time to support those skills as a family. I want to extend wishes for a happy, healthy, holiday season with your family and friends. Be Merry & Bright!

The district virtual backpack can be found at ppcsd.org, in the middle banner on the right. Virtual Backpack provides school district and community announcements, digitally. The Family Newsletter, lunch & breakfast menus, and specials cycle calendar all appear on our website, facebook page, and now can be emailed home through virtual backpack, along with other district and community happenings. Save the Date! December 8th at 6:30pm is our Winter Concert at the Stissing Auditorium! The program will include songs from the standard elementary band and chorus repertoire, and holiday tunes!

Tuesday, 20th – Grinch Green Tuesday – wear green!

Wednesday, 21st – Winter Wonderland Wednesday – dress like a snowman, put on your favorite winterwear, or wear white!

Thursday 22nd – Holiday Headgear & Toasty Toes Thursday – wear your favorite holiday hats, or winter socks!

Friday, 23rd – Polar Express PJ Day – wear your PJs to school!
