FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Rogers Families,
As you walk through Rogers Middle School, you’ll see students deeply engaged in high-interest texts, using diverse methods to solve equations, and participating in thoughtful lessons that embody our CARE values. We greatly appreciate your efforts in ensuring your child comes to school ready to learn each day. We hope you find this newsletter both informative and helpful.
We made significant updates to our Rogers website to make it more accessible and a valuable resource for important information about our school programs. The updated pages include details about extracurricular activities, the School-based Planning Team, Title 1 Information, and much more. Please feel free to reach out to me directly with any feedback on how we can further enhance our website. Please check out our updated website here: Our School - Rogers Middle School
In exciting news, we are implementing the Caring School Communities Curriculum to support our growth in self-management and emotional regulation. Our teachers have started incorporating at least one lesson per quarter, focusing on establishing community norms and agreements. Our next lesson will cover active listening and conflict resolution. We are also exploring ways to authentically integrate the Zones of Regulation into our lessons to help students develop independence and emotional management strategies. You can find resources for home use here: Resources | The Zones of Regulation
Last, we are excited to host you and your family at our Pancake Breakfast on our Parent-Teacher Conference Day on Nov. 26 from 8-10 AM. Please also feel free to reach out to your child's teacher or counselor to schedule a conference.
A Big Fan,
Nicholas A. DiMartino

Response to Intervention in WICSD
Educational interventions can be defined as targeted strategies or actions implemented to support and enhance a child's learning and development. Response to Intervention (RTI) is a multi-tiered framework used in education to identify and support students who may be struggling academically or behaviorally. It involves a systematic approach of providing interventions at increasing levels of intensity based on a student's response to instruction and support. The goal of RTI is to prevent academic difficulties, identify and address learning or behavioral challenges early on, and provide targeted interventions to help students succeed.
