Happenings Around the School
Red Lion Senior High School was recognized today as a Special Olympics Unified Champion School earning a national banner and an ESPN award. This recognition is given to schools who exhibit an inclusive school climate and exudes a sense of collaboration, engagement and respect for all members of the student body and staff. We are so proud of our unified lions for their leadership and commitment to all things unified!
Please Join Us on Wednesday, March 19th by Rocking Your Socks!
Why "Rock Your Socks"?
The idea is that chromosomes look like socks.
Each sock represents a different person with their own unique qualities.
Wearing different socks shows support and solidarity with people with Down syndrome.
During our assembly on Friday, March 14th, some of our teachers had a pie eating contest! Why not?! It's Pi Day!!
Mr. Naylor, Ms. White, Mrs. Masser and Mr. Jackson went head to head during the first assembly! Mr. Naylor beat his competitors!
During the 2nd assembly, Mrs. Main, Ms. Kivatisky, Mrs. Warner and Mrs. Kauffman battled it out! Congratulations to Ms. Kivatisky for coming from behind to win!

Pawsitive Pal
This week's Pawsitive Pal is Ms. Catherine Wingard! Ms. Wingard is a proud member of our outstanding math department, where she teaches Honors Algebra 2 and Algebra 1B. Be sure to wish all of our math teachers a HAPPY Pi Day today!
In addition to her teaching role, Ms. Wingard has taken on the responsibility of being the P.R.I.D.E. Homeroom Advisor this year. Through her leadership, the P.R.I.D.E. homeroom has provided students with a voice in our positive behavioral plan. Thanks to Ms. Wingard’s guidance, along with the rest of the P.R.I.D.E. team, we’ve enjoyed spirited pep rallies and exciting rewards.
Thank you, Ms. Wingard, for your dedication and unwavering commitment to making Red Lion the best it can be!
That’s all we have for this week. Have a great weekend, be grateful that we are unified and remember that it is always a great day to be a Lion!
