What is NAEOP?
Are you a member of NAEOP? Maybe you have questions or concerns about NAEOP that are stopping you from joining. Now is your chance to submit those questions to Bridget Bookert, CEOE, and RCAEOP's Office Professional of the Year. Bridget is on the 2023 NAEOP Conference speakers planning group and one of the requested breakout sessions this year for the NAEOP Conference was to learn basic information about NAEOP.
If there is anything that you would like to know about NAEOP, please submit your question to Bridget by November 18th at bridget.bookert@richlandone.org. If you want to know, I'm sure someone else is wanting to know the exact same thing. ALL questions are welcome as we "learn together".
Community Service Projects
PRISMA HEALTH-MIDLANDS CHILD LIFE PROGRAM
The Child Life program provides activities to children staying in the hospital for long-term illnesses.
On October 7th, individually wrapped snacks and food were delivered to the Ronald McDonald house in Columbia in support of SCAEOP's community service project.
On October 25, Halloween costumes, candy, and even trick-or-treating buckets were delivered to the Child Life Program at Prisma Health Children's Hospital in Columbia. There were enough costumes for eight inpatient children to participate in a reverse trick-or-treat event.
A BIG thank you to all those that participated!
We will continue to support SCAEOP's community service project by collecting pop tops and throughout January leading up to the SCAEOP conference in February. Donations are being collected for the Ronald McDonald House in Greenville.
Holiday Toy Drive
Being stuck in the hospital over the holidays can be tough so during the months of November and December, we will accept donations of new toys or games to give to the Child Life Program at Prisma Health to help spread Christmas joy. Hint: For older children, it has been brought to our attention that they LOVE gift cards of any amount they can spend right from their room.
Not sure what to purchase nor have time to shop but want to help? No problem! You may also provide a monetary donation for us to purchase for you! Please try and provide toys by or at the next meeting on December 1st.
For more information or to donate please contact Vickie McIntyre at vmcintyr@richland2.org.
Please take a moment to watch the video below to get a better understanding of what we do to help make a meaningful impact for the children at Prisma Health-Richland.
