Notes for the Upcoming Week

Read Across America

Our celebration of Read Across America begins this week! Students will receive a passport where they can record the number of minutes they read each day. We encourage all of our students to complete their Reading Passports throughout the month of March. Passports are due to homeroom teachers on March 31st.

EGEA Family STEM Block Party

Please join us for the EGEA's Family STEM Block Party in the Jeffrey Clark Gym from 4:30-6:00pm on Tuesday, March 7th. Enjoy science experiements, snacks and displays.

Hoops for Soup

Hoops for Soup will be held on Thursday, March 23rd at 6:00pm in the Samuel Mickle Gym. Please bring 1 canned good donation for each person attending as your "ticket" to the event.

Home & School Association Happenings

Princess Ball

Home and School is excited to announce that the Princess Ball 2023 will be on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Be on the lookout for flyers (Princess Ball 2023 Flyer) coming home in folders. Ticket sales will start March 3rd. A volunteer Sign-up Genius will be emailed to people who signed up during the membership drive. If you are interested in volunteering to help, please email egprincessball2023@gmail.com

Philadelphia Flyers Fundraiser

Character Education and SEL

Our current Buzzworthy trait is now Responsibility.

Character Dares

The purpose of the Character Dare process is to build habits of character by offering consistent, practical ways to engage in the practice of these sometimes-abstract traits. A weekly (and sometimes daily) exercise and check-in around something like kindness helps bring the character trait to life in our real relationships and provides a system for regular conversation and action.

"Kindness" character dare choice boards will be due on March 1st.

"Responsibility" character dare choice boards will be due on April 5th.
