Advisory Solar Eclipse Viewing
When: April 8th
What: Our advisories will head outside on April 8th to view the solar eclipse as a school. We have purchased special safety glasses for all students and staff to support safety for all during this event.
Opting Out: If you do not want your student to participate in the viewing of the eclipse please complete this opt out form.
Preparations: All Science classes will review safety protocol for the eclipse on April 5th during class. Students will be asked to sign a participation form that confirms they went through the safety training prior to April 8th (see pdf below).
IAR State Testing
Shortly after we return from spring break our students will take the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) tests. Middle schoolers take two ELA tests and three Math tests. On these days please remember to:
- Bring a fully charged ipad to school
- Get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast
- Headphones are needed
- Gum and mints are allowed during testing
8th graders will take the Illinois Science Assessment as well during this testing window.
