May 16, 2025 - FINAL Edition of the 2024-25 School Year
Breakfast and Lunch Accounts
If you have money owing for breakfast and lunch here at Hillside, we very much appreciate your bringing those accounts up to date so that we don't have money owing on the books! We must bring our accounts out of debt! Please know that if you overpay, that money will stay with your student and can be used for the next school year! Thank you for helping us to organize our books to close out this school year.
Notices will be coming home.
A Message from Mrs.Bailey
Thank you to our Hillside community!
I have been privileged to serve the Hillside community for the past 10 years, and it's time for me to slow down a little bit and head in a different direction! I want to say thank you to Hillside's families for the warm and wonderful relationships I have enjoyed for the past decade. There is nothing I love more than helping parents, guardians, and students to have a positive school experience.
I will miss the students, the families, and the staff of Hillside very much! I am hoping for good days ahead for Hillside. Ms. Patterson and Ms. Lewis will be an excellent leadership team here, and I know Hillside is in good hands. I am not saying goodbye; rather, I'd like to say, "Until we meet again."
Mrs. Bailey, Principal of Hillside

District Policy on Visits or Activities at School
For clarification regarding the district policy re: being at school:
It is important to note that our district now requires a background check (courtesy of Westside) in order for you to join your student in the company of other students. This includes having lunch at school, and we want you to know that we are balancing a welcoming environment with a safe environment!
If you wish to come to school to have lunch with your child, you are welcome to do so. If you do not wish to (or have not yet had) a background check, please plan to join your child only at an available empty table OR at an available picnic table out front. Please do not invite other children to join you if you have not yet had a background check.

Social Skills and Behavior at Hillside
Hillside's philosophy is that students deserve to learn social skills right along with academics. We want our students to learn how to accept feedback gracefully, how to regulate their emotions appropriately, and how to negotiate skillfully with peers. We are committed to helping all our students to learn and grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
