The BES PTO has ordered a t-shirt for every Berryton student that will come home soon. These shirts will be used for field trips and students are encouraged to wear them on Fridays. Our PTO is amazingly generous and this gift is much appreciated.

Art this week is all about Halloween and Fall! Kinders have learned how to make spider webs on dry erase boards and have started drawing them on their papers this week! 1st graders also learned how to draw spider webs and made super cute 3D spiders on their webs! 2nd grade learned how to draw a pumpkin, then they turned them into jack-o-lanterns! Then they drew candy exploding from the pumpkins! 2nd graders loved this project! 3rd graders drew an X-ray of their hand! They learned about their skeletal system and where the bones in their hands are placed! 3rd graders loved using oil and chalk pastels! 4th graders finished up their spooky eyeballs! They loved adding the final details to their eyes! 5th graders drew really large candy corns! We finished shading them and located in the hallway for all to see! 6th graders got to customize their supersized sugar skulls with all the details!

As an elementary principal I enjoy working collaboratively with staff members to support student learning. I am passionate about continuing to learn professionally, and building relationships with staff and students at Berryton Elementary. When I'm not serving at Berryton Elementary I am usually with my husband and two sons. We can be found at sporting events, cheering on Kansas State University, or just enjoying a movie at home.
