Construction Science Signing Day
The fourth annual Construction Science Signing Day was a momentous occasion to recognize and celebrate students from RC3's construction science program. This event fostered a culture of excellence and inspired future students. This event provided a platform to showcase students that accepted full time employment offers in the construction industry. By publicly recognizing their hard work and dedication, Signing Day instills a sense of pride and validation in the participants, motivating them to continue striving for excellence. This year, the following students accepted positions:
Cooper Christian - Hardy Corporation
Skyler Hand - Professional Building Services
Carter Hughes - CraneWorks/RentalWorks
Kamaree Murray - Sentry Heating & Cooling
Cameron Seymour - Cupids Dog Training
Triston Moore - Hardy Corporation
Steven Morales - Professional Building Services
In addition, five construction science students received a scholarship presented by the Hoover Historical Society and Signature Homes. This year's scholarship recipients were Houston Peace, Logan Hubbard, Joshua Lewis, Gage Taylor, and Carter Hilton. We are very proud of all these students.
Academy Scholarship Recipients
Receiving a scholarship is not merely an acknowledgment of academic achievement; it's a transformative experience that can shape the trajectory of a student's life and future. Whether it's through financial assistance, mentorship, or opportunities for personal and professional growth, being a scholarship recipient carries profound significance and impact. This year, the Fire & Emergency Services Academy is proud to present a full tuition scholarship to the Alabama Fire College to Elliott Deuel. The Culinary & Hospitality Academy awarded scholarships to three students. Melecia Moment received the F.L.A.M.E. scholarships, Shaniya Reeves received the Go Red Scholarship, and Aiden Goosby received the Gold Scholarship. RC3 is very proud of all of it's scholarship recipients.
2024 Senior Pinning Ceremony
The pinning ceremony is a rite of passage for RC3 seniors, marking the culmination of one chapter of students' lives and the beginning of another. This ceremony holds deep significance, not only in honoring academic achievement but also in celebrating personal growth, camaraderie, and graduation. At the heart of the pinning ceremony lies the act of pinning, where each senior is presented with a custom pin that symbolizes their affiliation with the RC3 and their status as graduating seniors. This pin serves as a tangible reminder of the memories, friendships, and experiences shared as well as a symbol of the challenges overcome and the achievements attained. The ceremony provides an opportunity for reflection and celebration, allowing students to look back on their academic journey with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

News from the Nurse
Dear Parent/Guardian,
The end of the school year requires some housekeeping tasks throughout the school. The health room is no exception.
An adult will be required to pick up any medications that your child may have in the health room, unless your child has specific written permissions to carry the medication on their person. Medications should be picked up by noon on Thursday, May 23, 2024. Any medications left at school will be destroyed after noon on May 23. No exceptions.
When your child returns to school in August a new medication form with parent and physician signature will be required. This will be sent to you along with a Health Care Plan for next year (if one is required) that you will need to sign and return along with the medication and the form. One form will be required for each medication brought to school for the 2024-2025 school year.
If you have any questions please call me at 205-439-1914.
Have a safe and happy summer☺
