The First Day of School is Monday, August 9th and all classes will be in-person this year, so we will have a lot of students arriving on campus. For the first week arrival and dismissal will take a little longer while we are getting procedures up and running effectively. Please be patient and follow staff instructions to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and parents.

We will have two options for after-school care this year. They will include the YMCA and Campus Adventures, more information can be found below.

We will also have a morning care option through Campus Adventures if you need to drop your student off before arrival starts.

IMMUNIZATIONS

All immunizations must be up-to-date as of the First Day of School and must remain current throughout the school year.

If your child will be claiming an exemption from immunizations, we will require an official form from the state of Texas. The link below will allow you to begin this process.

PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION

Our Health Aide is able to administer prescription medications to your child as needed. All prescriptions must be current, and the medicines provided must not be expired. All prescription medication must be delivered to the campus before the First Day of School along with a Medication Consent form, which can be found below. You will be contacted to make arrangements for this delivery as we approach the start of the school year.

OTC (OVER THE COUNTER) MEDICATION

Our campus clinics maintain a supply of over-the-counter medications including cough medicine, Tylenol, eye drops, medicine for upset stomachs, and more. This medicine is provided free of charge to all students.

STAFF CERTIFICATIONS

Our health aides are Certified Health Aides. In addition, many of our campus staff members, including the health aide, are certified in First Aid, CPR, AED (Automated External Defibrillator) usage as well as being current in Stop The Bleed training to allow them to quickly and effectively respond to any needs that may arise on campus.

UNIFORM GUIDELINES

Our basic uniform consists of:

1.) IDEA Polo Shirt

• Kinder-5th: Blue

• 6th grade - Red
• 7th grade - Orange
• 8th grade - Blue

2.) Pants, Capris, Skirts, Shorts or Skorts in black or beige (no jeans, no cargo pants)

3.) Solid Black Shoes, including black laces and black soles

4.) Backpacks must be CLEAR or MESH SEE-THROUGH

Students will pass through a uniform checkpoint upon arrival at school. Uniform infractions will be documented in the student's planner. More information is included in the uniform guide linked below.

If clothing size changes are required prior to the beginning of the school year, you may exchange items at your local store. However, clothing must be unworn and unwashed, and proof of purchase is required.

When we return to "in-person" instruction, these are the supplies your scholar will need!
