A Message from the Principal:
September 17, 2024
Dear Weller Families:
We will be donating items in the lost & found at the end of each month. If your child is missing a sweatshirt, jacket, or a lunch box, please come to school and check in the lost & found. We already have at least 20 items.
Mark your calendars for the SWES PTO meeting this Friday, September 20th at 8:00am. I will send a Google meeting link at 7:15 am on Friday via REMIND.
Please join us to learn more about how we can work together to improve our school and to enrich every child's education.
Monday was picture day, and if you forgot, the make up day for pictures is Tuesday, November 12th from 9am-12pm.
If you want to place a hold on your child's lunch account regarding ice cream, cookies, or chips, please email Teresa.Fernandez@lcps.org
Mrs. Fernandez is the cafeteria manager and she can assist you!
Respectfully yours,
Julia Burton, Principal

With your parent support, our PTO can do amazing things. Reach out to one of our board members and offer services, business partnership, or just a small amount of time to help in one of our events.
We've Got Spirit, Yes We Do...Do You?

Learn What Our Cafeteria Offers:
Purchasing Extras in the Lunch Room:
We offer many extra items in our cafeteria. Students have options to purchase chips, cookies, extra sides, and ice cream. Parents have options as well. If you are do NOT want your child to purchase specific items, you must email the cafeteria manager - Teresa Fernandez and specifically state the restrictions for your children.
No Glass Containers:
Speaking of Lunch Time...For safety reasons, we ask that students arrive to school with plastic or metal water bottles or lunch containers. Glass tends to be dropped and shatter. This becomes a dangerous situation. Thanks for your understanding.
Car Rider Numbers:
Parents that are picking their children up at the end of the day in our car line we need your help. We are speeding up our process and need your continued support helping your child know their numbers. Please remain in your car and help build your child build their independence. Let them open their own door and get in your car. We are also using NUMBERS ONLY to call students to their car. Please help your child remember their number provided to you on your bright green placard. Thanks for your continued support!
Family Assistance Program:
Our Family Liaison, Gladys Palomino, is here to assist families and students who experience difficulties throughout the year. Our goal is to help families meet their needs by offering an extensive list of resources both at school and in the community. Please click here for more information.
We Want You!

You will have the opportunity to work with classes, students, and your children's classroom throughout the day. You pick the full day or half day to commit your time working with the Wild Cats. Look for an updated announcement in an upcoming newsletter when we restart this wonderful program.
Change in Dismissal:
If you should need to change your child's dismissal plans, we request that you do NOT email your child's classroom teacher. We request that ALL CHANGES IN DISMISSAL be CALLED into our school's office. Please call 571-252-2360 with any last minute changes.
