Message from Mr. Krall
Dear WES Families,
We have another busy week ahead in a very exciting time of year! Our students (and teachers!) are obviously looking forward to the winter recess, but we have so much to do this week in the interim. It starts this evening when some of our 5th grade students, led by Mrs. Scully, Mrs. Spellman, and Mrs. Berman will help present at the School Board meeting. In school this week, we will be filled with festive activities and winter holiday classroom parties.
Last Wednesday, WES hosted our Winter Holiday concert, and it was a huge success with standing room only attendance. Our choral ensemble, led by Mrs. Haley, and our orchestra and band, led by Mr. Greenhalgh, all sounded outstanding. Thank you to our dedicated music staff, our students who have put a lot of time and effort into practicing and preparing, and our families for supporting our flourishing musicians!
We are already looking forward to and planning for the New Year! Particularly, we are going to be coordinating efforts to collect and organize school supplies to be donated to another local school. Our MLK Day of Service will allow us an opportunity to organize and box these materials, and each grade level will be designated particular items to collect. We will start the collection efforts on January 2nd, but please keep this in mind during our month of December WES Cares generosity campaign as you are out doing your holiday shopping. Our designated supplies lists for collection can be found below.
From all of our staff here at WES, we wish you a safe, fun, and festive holiday season filled with time spent with family and friends. Please be reminded that we will have a 12:30 dismissal on Friday, December 20th.
Happy Holidays!

Volunteering at WES
We are urging parents/guardians to complete the process for clearances if you have not already done so. Clearances are mandatory, are good for 5 years, and are kept at the district level. Volunteer clearances are required for anyone volunteering to work with our students or be present in our school; whether that is in school, on a field trip, or at an athletic event/practice, etc. Essentially, everyone who is volunteering with our students or in a school is required to obtain volunteer clearances.
You will not be permitted to volunteer without valid clearances on file with the district.
