Anderson High graduates challenged to build on academic experiences
As he considered advice he would give to graduates in Anderson High School’s Class of 2024, Joe Cronk was led to the words of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.” The superintendent of Anderson Community Schools said a passage in the play’s third act inspired him to compare the title character’s experience to the “undiscovered country” the school’s nearly 330 graduates have before them...more.
AHS Seniors receive Rotary scholarships
Debbie Webb, who worked with the students as the Interact Sponsor for Rotary, shared that the boys have been best friends since Mrs. Sachse’s 4th grade class. They also finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in their graduating class at Anderson High School.
Congratulations to Connor, Spencer, Jacob, and Talaysha Simonds (not pictured) who was also awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Rotary.
AHS Senior reflects on winning State Bowling Championship
THB Sports Boys Track & Field Athlete of the Year: Anderson's Tremayne Brown
For the second time in his high school career, Tremayne Brown came out of nowhere to shock the competition. Under the circumstances, the sequel was even sweeter than the original. The Anderson senior returned from injury and qualified for the state finals in the high jump, where he soared to new heights, broke his own school record and finished as the state runner-up. For his efforts, Brown has been named the 2024 THB Sports Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year for the second time...more.

Anderson Schools’ D26 Career Center was honored with a Community Image Award for “fostering a culture of service within its programs,” according to the awards selection committee. King enjoys ‘once in a lifetime’ all-star experience

ACS Summer Lunch Program
Our Food Services Department is hosting a Summer Lunch Program June 10th - July 19th, 2024 at Anderson High School. All kids 18 and under can eat lunch for free Monday - Friday between 11:00 am - 12:30 pm. Children, accompanied by an adult, should enter Door #1 at Anderson High School and proceed to the Cafeteria. Lunch must be eaten in the Cafeteria. There are no "grab and go" or "to go" meals. Adult meals and a la cart items are not available for purchase.

We are so pleased to partner with a variety of organizations to provide summer programming for our students. We have compiled a list on our website of summer programming being offered by Anderson Community Schools and other organizations in and around Anderson. We will continue to add new programs to this list as they become available.
