Welcome Back Woodland Wildcats!
Logistical Reminders
- Lunch: Please remember that parents/family are not allowed to eat lunch with their children until AFTER Labor Day. Thank you for your patience as we continue to build schedules and routines with our students.
- Dismissal: Please remember to be in the carline each day no later than 2:30pm to pick up your child. We know the lines are long right now, but the dismissal process will start moving quicker next week. Elementary students dismiss at 2:15pm and teachers need to report to meetings various days of the week after school.

Students should be getting the Green Light in Reflex every night (Monday - Friday) each week. They know what this means. Sometimes, they have time to finish in class. They can show you in the top right corner of the computer program if they have earned the Green Light that day. Reflex is a computer program purchased by our school to build their fluency skills with basic math facts (multiplication and division through 12s). This is key to success in 5th grade Math this year!
Tips for a Successful Start to the School Year
Please keep in mind the rule for length of shorts in our WES Handbook and help us by checking your child's clothing to make sure it follows the rules: *The length of properly worn shorts, skirts, and skorts must be no shorter than the mid-thigh. *No tube tops, halter tops, or spaghetti strap tops. Tank tops straps must be an inch wide. *Dresses must not be shorter than mid-thigh.
Bring CHARGED Chromebooks to school each day.
- Please remember that our 5th graders' bodies are changing as they are growing. We are encouraging the kids to dress for the weather, wear deodorant, and have water bottles with them to stay hydrated.
- Have a set of headphones and pencil pouch of supplies that can stay at school.
