PTA 2024-25
MS 50's Parent Teacher Association is ready for a great upcoming year of work to support our school community. This year, the PTA is excited to organize our families to advocate for the resources and space needed to help our students thrive, helping to fundraise for the debate team, class trips, and graduation, and to gather and organize resources for students and families in need.
All parents and guardians of enrolled children are members! If you want to get involved, email Edda Figueroa, our Parent Coordinator. Stay tuned for more information about our first meeting. All dates will be posted on our PTA webpage soon and will be communicated in the first newsletter of the school year.
Jupiter and Connect Invites
At MS 50, we utilize two main platforms for grades and communication. Jupiter is our digital grade book where you can view your student's grades send messages to teachers. If you don't already have a Jupiter account, you should have received an email with an invitation to sign up this morning. If you haven't received that invitation, please complete the form at ms50.org/jupiter.
At MS 50, we also collect permission slips and other forms digitally. Operoo, the service we have used previously, is expanding to a one-stop communication platform for staff and families called SchoolStatus Connect. This exciting update will allow you to communicate with your student's teachers, sign permission slips and forms, and view the weekly newsletters all from one app and web platform. There is a lot more to share and we hope that this change will make communication and staying up-to-date even easier. We are waiting on that switch to take place and we will contact you with additional information when that will take place.
