CONGRATULATIONS MR. BEAUREGARD!
Congratulations to our Mr. Beauregard for becoming officially an IADLEST/LAPSEN Certified Youth Instructor. Being a Certified Youth Instructor (CYI) brings instant recognition as being one of the best instructors or advisors working with youth. Granted in partnership with IADLEST, no certification carries more prestige in youth law enforcement training and mentorship. Designed to recognize high school and technical college educators as well as cadet advisors, CYIs have access to a vast platform of IADLEST resources and materials to bolster their resources and positively impact their instructional content. To learn more about this accomplishment, please visit the IADLEST/LAPSEN website.
FINGERPRINTING PRACTICE
Criminal Justice has been practicing their fingerprinting skills...seems like they are having a lot of fun!
ROBOTIC ARM
Everett Hunter, a senior in Pre-Engineering, volunteered to help demonstrate and explain modern-day robots to the Morse Unified Science class. The students were able to set their own waypoints and create custom programs using the Pre-Engineerings UR10 robotic arm.
GRAPHIC DESIGN VISIT MAINE COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN
Graphic Design visited Maine College of Art & Design (MECA&D) where they toured the 5 floors of MECA&D! Students experienced firsthand the studios and workspaces for such diverse programs such as Ceramics, Illustration, Graphic Design, and Animation, giving light to ideas and passion for their own artistic journeys.
A visit to the Portland Museum of Art added a meaningful layer, where students engaged in critical thinking through art analysis while viewing works by Maine artists. Thank you to MELMAC for providing the transportation.
EARLY CHILDHOOD VISITS SMCC
The Early Childhood Education class went on a tour of SMCC on Friday. Our students met with the department head, Rachel Parse, and learned about the different pathways to working with young children. She shared about the expectations of the college and how they could be successful. They toured the grounds and enjoyed lunch in the cafe. Four Bath Tech seniors have been accepted so far and are excited about attending in the fall of 2025. Thank you MELMAC for providing funding for this trip.
WE ARE HALF WAY TO OUR GOAL!
We have set a goal of 290 calendars sold...one for every Bath Tech student who is attending this year. We have 95 calendars to go in order to meet our goal.
