Important Dates
- 9:00-10:00 am - NEW to Prosper ISD/Hays 6th Graders
- 10:30-11:30 am - NEW to Prosper ISD/Hays 7th & 8th Graders
- 3:30-4:45 pm - 6th Grade
- 5:45-7:00 pm - 7th & 8th Grades
August 13: First Day of School! 8:15 am-3:30 pm
- HMS Bell Schedule For the first week of school, we will run an 8-period schedule every school day. Block days will begin the second week of school.
Prosper ISD App
While we will continue to post current events on our Facebook and Twitter pages, you will be able to find the same content utilizing the Live Feed feature on our website (https://www.prosper-isd.net/hays) as well as via the Prosper ISD App! In addition to the feed, there are several other features on the app that we hope you will enjoy using as you stay connected with HMS and Prosper ISD!

Principal's Message
Hello, Hawk Families! I am excited to be joining the HMS community as campus principal for the 24-25 school year. This will be my 22nd year in public education, the last 19 of which I've spent in Plano ISD. Throughout my career, I have served as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal at both the elementary and middle school levels. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow with the teams at Hays and Prosper ISD!
On a personal note, I am married to Steve, and we have two daughters. Sara will be a sophomore this year, and Emma will be in 6th grade. They are both ready and not ready for the school year - maybe that sounds familiar! The girls keep us busy with their activities, Sara as a cheerleader, and Emma with soccer, softball, and basketball. We also have a dog named Jim who spends most of his time napping near a window. We are huge Iowa State Cyclones fans, and we're ready for football season to begin!
I look forward to getting to know you this year. I absolutely believe that a strong school + parent partnership is critical for giving our kids the best foundation, and I'm committed to working with you in this endeavor!
